  7. You carried me up
    With our stomachs of soups.
    We found eachother’s hands again

    Marching along the road home.

  8. I don’t know much about soups. Im only 16, but the only soup i can accurately make is happiness soup. Anyone can make happiness soup, but everyone’s recipie is a little different. I guess the question at hand is what would one put in happiness soup? Step one: Try to avoid worldly distractions. Fancy cars, beauty, and mony are nice, but they will only distract from the perfect flavor of happiness. Warning- this step is not easy, but essential to creating happiness soup. Step two: Start with the meat of your soup, yourself. Discover who you are, by selecting the right cut of meat. In other words, decide what you like about yourself and challenge yourself using it. This will tenderize you. The reason this step is important is If your not happy with yourself and don’t quite know who you are, it will be nearly impossible to share who you are with other people. That brings us to step three: Share what you love most about yourself. When I say this I’m talking about YOU not the outer (though beautiful) you, but who you are inside. Think of this as the broth of your soup. The flavor of your charicter intertwines with the people around you making your entire soup flavorful and harmonious. Sharing who you are will not only bring others closer to you but will fill you with joy in knowing that you are important. Step four: Who you sourround yourself with. Like mixed vegetables and seasonings, the people you surround yourself with can be of all different sizes, shapes, and flavors. The important thing is that their flavors blend well with you, even if they dont with each other. By doing this, your happiness soup will have extra variety and test if your ingredients are compatible with you. If not, throw them out. They will be a wonderful addition to another persons happiness soup. Lastly, step five: Keeping your soup hot. You have accomplished finding you ingredients as well as who you are. The last step to happiness soup is TO BE HAPPY! This will keep your soup hot and flavorful as it is enjoyed by you and those surrounding you. So stay positive, negativity will ruin your soup and it will only appear as a “bowl half empty”. Congratulations! You have created your own happiness soup! Now sit back and enjoy it, for the happier you are, the longer your soup will stay happy as well.

  23. There are as many different
    kinds of soup
    as there are people:
    each drop suited
    to a particular taste bud
    and a sense
    of smell
    that blesses each
as it passes through his nostrils.
    each scent is a pleasure,
    each sip–a joy.
until we learn this distinct fact
    we will never be ready
    for solid food.

  32. In the kitchen an aroma comes forth, a smell so delightful you can’t resist. When the soup is done, all rush to the dining room where the meal is to be served. The children lips their lips with the thought of their mother’s soup which contains an ingrediant in which no one knows. Dinner is served and the family is content. They enjoy their time together because they never know when something could happen. The soup is delicious, they’d all agree. One day, as the child, now grown up, cooks for her baby girl, the girl looks up and says, “Momma, what was grandma’s secret ingrediant?” “Sweetheart,” she replied, “it was love…”

  37. The cans of soup lay on his faded tabletop, lined and stacked for each day of the week, he smiled at their preparation. At that moment, he felt so dull that he opened each can of soup and tossed them all in the trash. And that realization that sent him into such a radical action was that the highlight of his day was the organization of soups.
