  2. It was midnight and you called me up on the phone. “What are you doing right now. At this moment. Lets meet”. My heart skipped a beat, my hair was tangled and there were sandbags under my eyes, but I didn’t care. I loved you. Then I remembered the stories I heard, of you, at the parties, the drugs, the drinking, the girls, the scandals that occurred during those sleepless nights and hazy mornings. All I could imagine were those, and that’s all I would think. Today was a bad night. “Sorry. I can’t”. I crawled back into bed and cried.

  3. Gossip rags are nothing but scandals. Why do we read them? Do make us feel better about ourselves. To proved that celebrities are people too? Or to add some spice to our boring lives, because we could never make it as far they did?

  8. I believe I was once a scandal. Perhaps it hasn’t died down. I don’t really know if I care.
Never mind. I lied. I do care. Once I thought scandals were romantic and daring. But they are filled with too much heartache and patched up parts of past expectations to be much of anything but pain.

  15. scandal. What a word that inspires both interest and well, not the opposite but one of the neighboring emotions, disgust perhaps? It’s one of the things that has happened so much I doubt the original scandal was anywhere near what we can now accomplish.

  21. Scandals happen when slutty hoes like to get up on the dance floor. I wish people were less scandalous because it just causes drama. I really don’t know what else to say about scandals. This is a hard topic to write about. I know there is a song called “so scandalous” or something by some band from like four or five years ago. the fact that I don’t remember this is quite the scandal also. I hope this isn’t some kind of typing test.

  24. We’ve seen a lot of those. No doubt about it. Scandal. It’s an act that perks one’s ear on its end. Effectively scanning for more. Thirsting for it. It’s something that gets us talking more than usual. Gossiping, some might call it. But a scandal makes it fair game

  26. I could hardly believe the news, thought it sat in front of my eyes in plain black ink, rubbing off on my fingers as I absentmindedly rubbed them across the words. How could he have said that about the senator? This, I knew, would cause a scandal bigger than one we’d seen in many years.

I got up from my place. His eyes watched me as I walked across the room. Perhaps this didn’t have to get out to our friends. Perhaps nobody would have to know.

  38. Ha ha. Old Profumo and Christine Keeler, but aren’t we all guilty, somehow, of something? Are we to be forgiven, as to err is human. Are our social mores too strict? They serve the collective but isolate amd alienate the individual.
Scandal, it’s whatever the society at this time says it to be.

  40. there are many ways we see ourselves – and usually with judgement. there is no right or wrong in reality – only love or fear. scandal is a judgement of an action based upon a filter of past experience – it has no value or substance in reality. It is illusion – albeit – juicy illusion – it simply is not real.
