  1. I refuse to sink. I can go as far as i want to and i will not fail. i refuse to let myself or anyone else down. i refuse to take anyone’s shit and i will do things for me. i refuse to follow in someone else’s path and i will make healthy choices.

    by Lauren Cossentino on 08.27.2012
  2. I refuse to let this happen. To succumb under the pressure. To go under the want, to let it over take me. I refuse. I can decide. I am not weak- I refuse to let this define me. I am me, not this desire. Remove desire to obtain happiness, right?

  3. i refuse to let you hurt me again. i refuse to let me be drawn back into your good looks and nice words. i refuse to let myself fall down the deep hole that is you. i refuse to stop living my life to wait for something that will never happen. i refuse to be yours. i refuse to let you be mine. i refuse to go through this all over again. i refuse.

    by Abbi on 08.27.2012
  4. “I refuse!” he screamed at him.

The man grinned in a slightly eerie manner. “You think that you have a choice?” he mocked. “You think that you get to choose whether you come or go, whether you live or die? Don’t make me laugh!” he spat.

Michael clinched his fists. “I would like to see you try to force me to do anything for you–you and your filthy traitorous bastards over there!”

  5. I refuse to jump in the lake with out a life jacket. I mean, why should I jump in without a life jacket? That would be just plain scary. I don’t want to freak out when I’m in water, do I? I might drown! That would be a mess for you.

    by Werty on 08.27.2012
  6. Oscar the Grouch was the king of refuse, at least until Sanford and Son came along. Fred G. Sanford. “How bout I give you one of them right across your lip, dummy.” The man had perpective. The man was a refuse dealer, but yeah, he knew how to handle himself snd his boy.

  7. to refuse. The act of not allowing something. I remember as a child there was a sign at the bottom of my alleyway. It said “do not refuse” or something like that. It clearly meant dont litter. which is another meaning for it, but it rung true to a spiritual mantra I live by today. The Idea of not refusing ideas is too good to refuse. When in doubt, say yes instead of no. It took a long time for this to make sense to me, but I think my life is better due to that sign.

    by Johnny on 08.27.2012
  8. “I refuse! This is absurd!” I cried out, throwing my arms into the air. “How could you even suggest such a thin, Hasi’l?!” I continued, glaring harshly at my once loyal companion. Give up? No, never. These people brutally murdered my brother for their own selfish desires.

    by Aswil on 08.27.2012
  9. Lighting the fuse of a small light,
I refuse not to burn bright,
I will burn at both ends,
    oh friend, oh foe,
if only for a short while,
I will burn for you tonight…

  10. I refuse to write about refusal. I think you’re just being stubborn. I don’t want to accept that you would refuse something. I, infact, refuse to accept that. How could you be so close-minded? Why can’t you be openminded…like me?

    by Yvonne on 08.27.2012
  11. i refuse to be happy. i refuse to change my perspective. i want to do what i want. don’t need instructions from you. i don’t need you. i only need myself. i am happy the way i live. even though my life is dysfunctional. but i am happy. you are fine. i am fine. we are fine. lets just live our lives.

    by sarah on 08.27.2012
  12. I refused to answer the question. I know it was childish. I know it was silly. It was more a matter of principle really. I felt bad, being so stubborn to the person who loved me so much but at time I can’t help it. I keep quite and stand my ground even about the little things. I know it drives them mad but I won’t stop any time soon.

  13. well, refuse, or Re-Fuse?? I mean one is like defiance and the other is to re fuse something, like a candle wick. but hey, who am i to know?

    by olive on 08.27.2012
  14. I refuse to give up my beliefs, my opinions, my freedom to people who I cannot stand and that are morally wrong. If you had any sense or any ability to stand up for yourself you’d be here with me, but instead you are cowering behind a wall of invincibility, pretending you belong, when really, you’re just an outcast like me.

    by Kat on 08.27.2012
  15. Piled in hidden corners of life, it shapes our lives by its very existence.
We try to ignore it or make it go away. We don’t want to remember the garbage.
But it piles, piles, coloring our perceptions and changing our attitudes.
Where do we get this all cleaned up?

  16. Refuse to be derailed by evil. Refuse to listen to fear and discouragement. Refuse to listen to the dark side. You are God’s beloved, and He has amazing plans for your life and your forever, better than you have ever thought of or could think of.

    by Sarah on 08.27.2012
  19. Alex refused to allow Brittany to do this anymore. No one believed him, no one could see that her words actually hurt him. He needed to man up, they said, he needed to leave the poor innocent girl alone. But that was hard to do when a demon was attacking your soul.

    by Allison on 08.27.2012

  25. Refusal is a funny thing – do it too often and you just come off as a mean person. However, refuse too little and you become a pushover. There is such a thing as middle ground, and the middle grund must be found when refusing things. Also, try not to refuse things that benefit you. Those are good things.

    by Sian on 08.27.2012
  26. I refuse to refuse to save this assignment this time. I’ve deleted too many of them in the last few days because I couldn’t think of what to write. Today, I’m refusing to refuse to have a say, to use my voice, even if it’s ultimately only fit for the refuse bin.

  27. I refused today.
    It’s what I really wanted.

    by Megan Collins on 08.27.2012
  30. turn away, don’t ever look back. there is nothing you would ever want with what is being offered. let someone down to save yourself. save a life. make the right choice. make the wrong choice. no. back off. tell them you would rather die than be with them or with that object they are offering you.

    by Alex on 08.27.2012
  31. It’s never often that a person has the opportunity to prove his merit in romance. This is one of those times for me. I have been rejected by my own stupidity, drawn within myself, which left me neglecting that which I adored the most. I refuse to allow this set back to be the end to what should have been the beginning of the most precious relationship in my life. Its not about me… its about us – and what we have to offer to each other and so the world.

    by David on 08.27.2012

    by sharon london on 08.27.2012
  35. I refuse to allow anyone to get between what I love and myself. As the ocean does not allow the beach to overtake it. If I can not accomplish this my success as a man is limited. If I can not achieve this I will not move forward to a life that is of God.

  36. I refuse to let this get me down. It was horrible, and uncomfortable, and disgusting, but I would suffer through it with a positive attitude. I had my animal crackers and my elephant key-chain. I would not be defeated by this cold.

    by Maggie on 08.27.2012
  37. Refuse is when someone makes you do something you do not want to do. It’s not bad to refuse if the thing you’re going to refuse to is something you do not really want to be caught doing. LIke me, I refuse to do bad things such as cheating in tests. It’s immorally wrong and I wouldn’t want to cheat because if I want to do well on tests, I have to put enough effort on it to be able to have good grades.

  38. I refuse to write any more than this sentence.

    by Bianca on 08.27.2012
  39. I can’t live my life this way forever. You are gone and my world has tail spun into blackness; or perhaps I was already in the darkness before you left. I think that’s why you left in the end, I can be too much. One day, one meal, one mouthful at a time, because I refuse to lay down and let myself lay waste to the world.

  40. I refuse to let his poor decisions affect my living situation. I had to plan my escape now, before he took me down with me. Before I became what I feared most, helpless, homeless, and dependent. The search for a new affordable apartment had begun, but shit where to start? I’m not exactly easy living.
