She was so surprised to finally meet someone just like him. He was so glad to find the girl of his dreams. It was funny, honestly, the way they met. You generally wouldn’t picture a straight couple meeting at a gay rights rally, would you? But, alas, they did.
He was there with his sister. She was there with a friend.
He wore subversive outfits. She made controversial signs.
They were perfect from the start.
We pushed, we shoved, we kicked, we punched. Anything and everything, nothing was out of bounds for us. A mass ball of people, filling the streets till there was no room to move or breathe. The huddle masses, together for the slaughter.
We knew we didn’t stand a chance.
you can cheer all you want but it rarely makes a difference in the end. this is a point a lot of cheer-leaders never learn, which makes their lives rather dismal doesn’t it? after years of playing sports they never seem to understand that we don’t actually need them, so why are they there?
Rally, rally, rally. I think of pep rallies in high school… which I never attended or involuntarily attended because yeah, I was THAT girl in high school. Anything with pom poms and glitter made me cringe. Then I was actually friends with a cheerleader, and she was great till she because uber stereotypical, but that’s another post entirely.
Rally the boys together! Were about to have a grand ol’ time. Don’t worry to much we’ll try to stay under control, but you know that always isn’t possible. Tonights about to get interesting!
A group of people gathered together for a common purpose. A gathering intended to inspire or create enthusiasm for a specific cause. A rally could also be an exchange of play in a sport such as tennis or volleyball.
Rally makes me think of a passionate group os people fighting for what they believe in. They gather a group of people, non-believers, believers, whoever is compassionate enough to take some time and support their cause.
Rally = passion.
“Rally the soldiers! This is our final stand! It is either us or them. Remember what we are fighting for. Your families, your children, your neighbors! Your Country. And most of all. Our survival as a species! Now lets kick some alien ass!”
i was at the car race, the rally. there were hundreds of people, all there to see my cousin. i felt honored, my cousin was racing and he was famous. HE WAS AT A RALLY?! it still hadn’t hit me. he was on television, he was famous. my cousin, my relative had money and there i was the poorest of the poor. it didn’t make sense. i couldn’t understand. i only was there cause of free tickets.

Troops rallied to the battleline, ready to take commands from the man leading them to destruction. The battle cry of the general came loud and clear to the ears of the men waiting silently to follow him to their deaths.

The rally started late because the cars were gridlocked on the highway. All the signs were locked in the trunks of the vehicles, dieing to be held high and make their statement. The people were clamoring to let their voices heard.
The dirt would spin, and spin, and keep spinning, but we weren’t going anywhere. It was like the tires just gave up on us, although they never really worked with us to begin with.
I remember the look on Kelly’s face when you gunned it, right into the mud. Her mouth agape, she looked right at me and said, “Brennan, we’re fucked.”
Rally… that’s an interesting one, oneword, I give you credit. Rally makes me think of tennis. Like, you know, rally back and forth and volleying the ball and such. Rally also makes me think of protests… yeah that’s pretty much all the word rally means to me today.

So much of what we do is trying to one-up the other, but when called to rally we’re passing the ball back and forth, making it possible for the other to return it.
Rally. Why do others rally. Is it an obsessive need to stand out against our peers? Is it a need for others to hear our voice? Is it for our inner most desires? That is the reason to rally. Because we need it to survive.
Again, rally? A speeding race, a member lost, a trinity field of forlorn vases, crafted smoothly onto the gravel dirt. Burning rubber, slamming doors, waving flags, the smashed remains of some warped metal vehicle, distorted out of imagination. A flame, a fire, a frenzied rush for water, water, extinguish it! Oil leaking, a glowing fuse, pitches speed past.
rally for pep. Rally for your hypocritical republican evil doer. Rally has a burger. Rally round the race track. I really don’t like this word, rally i don’t…..but i could go for a double cheeseburger.
I wish I could get everyone that I care about in my life to just really get excited about something. For everyone to just once rally their emotions to such a level that the vibrations are felt round the world. I just want everyone to wake up, to get off facebook, to turn off the tv and feel alive.

I saw the cars rip around the bend in front of me.. I pushed in clutch and tapped the hand break as I drifted around the corner. The asphalt roared, and as the clutch shifted back in I floored the accelerator, diving down the straight-away….
“Rallies aren’t what they used to be,” he says dully, tapping the right-hand corner of his cardstock sign against the rubber heel of his sneaker. “Too many posers, you know?”
“I know,” she hums. “How are we supposed to know which ones are dead if none of them decompose?” She traces the Sharpie’d ‘N’ on her own sign — ‘NO MORE ZOMBIES IN OCEAN COUNTY.’
i went to my first pep rally. i was excited because it was my first year in cheerleading and the other girls were not liking me so i could show them i could be good for the team. …yeah not so much…. i had to be the flyer last minute and the girl giving me teh most trouble decided it would be funny to not catch me. i ended up breaking my spraining my wrists and ankle. i was also blamed for falling….
