  7. I raised my hand up to the sky. i wanted more. i wanted less. i wanted to lift myself off the ground or give an offering or something. i wanted to say thank you in the best way. To live and never to have seen the sky fo r what it brings to us, I think that is a life that is sad and unlived. Imagine a world where from the inside out, we are sky. We are gentle creatures floating in a sea of possibility.

This game is a waste of time.

  11. born and raised, i am so happy with the way in which i was. I also adore bread, although this is maybe more a case of rising than being raised. Or is it? The bread is being nurtured by something therefor it is, in the loveable sense of the word been raised (albeit by technology)…dont even get me started on how technology is contributing to the way in which our children are raised.

  16. He raised his glass. A toast was the last thing he wanted to give. He has only known the couple for two weeks. The groom was convinced that he was his best man. He was appointed to the role and now stood before two hundred people he did not know and started to speak. He felt like a puppet on a string as he pulled out the piece of paper. He he taste the cold beer around the edges of his lips as he started to salivate from nerves. All eyes were on him. He wished he at least knew more then the bride and groom.

  17. I was born and raised in a tide of floods, cities swept underneath with vigilant Gods above. Any who lived, lived on the arc yet I alone, began to start. Modern age infused me with every passing day. I grew old, my arms grew flabby and my skin was baked. My spender was lost and my extravagance was not paid, I filled with garbage and now I pray: I pray for people to marvel once again, to find solitude in my grasp, to appreciate my existence for I was raised for this purpose, why else am I here? I am nothing without a relation to anything, otherwise what does it matter if I can tell you where I began?

  18. He raised his knife and sunk down into the innocent mans chest. The body on the floor cowered before the mental penetrated through his ribs. An almighty crunch echoed and the poor man whelped like a dog. The hoodied yob runs off. Adreniline pumps through his veins making them buldge from underneath his skin. His dialated pupils shake and he does not blink as he tears down the street under street lamp light.

  25. I got this topic earlier as well. Is it the word for the day? Weird, I don’t feel raised at all. Exam times never make you want to raise up, instead you just want to lay down and never have to get up again. So yea, I don’t feel raised up in any way. I don’t think I will till my exams get over.

  26. This is the city I was born and raised.
The pillars raise high above the streets cracked pavement.
I love her with everything in me.
Pride shows no fault in her broken gleam.
Raised, raised to who I am and will be by the hands of this city.
Some may say its one destined for demise.
I say its character will be ever promising to a lifetime of enlightened curiosity.

  28. We were raised with the right aptitude and decorum when we were young. Our parents went to the last mile to ensure that their children were well mannered and productive. We now understand why there were so insistent that we be obedient.

  29. I was raised to believe that we have no time to waste. There are no infinite possibilities and there is no room for mistakes. We are bound by time. For eternity. Could we escape this? Flee in the arms of death’s cold embrace?
There is no definitive way of approaching the unknown. Though, we do define the unknown. Or at least, we think we do so by living our mundane lives. This is time bound. We are time bound. There is no time to waste. There is no unknown to waste.
Maybe we are meant to stick to our rules. It’s the truth, I think. It guides.

I was raised to be me.

  40. at first you might think it’s a raisin but really, it’s about were one was brought up. Or where something was brought up. Corn, for example, was raised in a field and that’s just good science. I couldn’t do that. Farmers are really just scientists in overalls.
