The hallway was dead silent as Sophia crept out of her hotel room, holding her breath. She had been locked away in her bed for the last five hours, tossing and turning and trying and failing to sleep. She could not get a moment’s rest. The quiet was too much to bear. It made her stomach hurt.
Just as she was about to finally fall asleep, she heard a loud bang that broke the silence, then an immediate return to that terrifying quiet as soon as it had left.
Anne
Here, within my space, surrounded by everything aquired in a lifetime… even amongst the screaming insects.. I find my peace. If my heart did not sing for new vistas, I would never leave these walls.

Soft sounds, falling and rolling into fluffy covers, breaths stretched out in sleep, rise and fall of chests under blankets
I could weld my lips together but I cant keep the sound of my heartbeat from giving me away, I fear even my thoughts have a way of reaching you
i can staple my mouth shut or even weld it together but I cant keep the sound of my heartbeat from giving me away
