  1. What is profound? The ocean is profound. Waves just crash upon the beach, and those waves were once delicate little ripples caused by rain drops or other such trivialities on the ocean. The waves are big. They wash up on the shore and it’s quite exciting. The ocean is a profound beauty, and most of the earth is covered by it. True story. YYeah.

  5. Profound.
I think it can be difficult to be profound.
I know some people that are very profound; and I must say; I have a great deal of jealousy for them.
Perhaps there is a misconception of profound. Perhaps those that are profound, are really just saying or doing all the profound things, to become like the profound people THEY are jealous of.
    It’s a big circle.
    A big.
    Profound.
    Circle.

  11. It is amazing to me, how such a beautiful child with such a pure soul, can be so hurt and helpless in this incredible world. There are flowers he loves to smell, colors he loves to name, people he loves to greet and smile at, with those missing front teeth. He is a light in the world, when it can be so cruel and dark, and whoever comes across this small boy, this miniature Buddah, is instantly affected with a striking love for this round-eyed stranger. I feel for him as I would my own future child. I fear for him, I pain for his pain, I long to bury him into my protection, to encase him in my ease, and allow him to be completely absorbed into my love like falling asleep. I want to care for him and save him from the world. This, is profound love.

  12. Working with the elderly has had a profound affect on my life. They have taught me to be giving, compassionate, caring, understanding, selfless, loving, thankful, and to make each moment count.

  14. Profound love. Think so strongly, watch so closely, breathe so deeply. I want to define something so strong. The thing so strong that makes me so weak. Dance so quickly, love so badly, twirl so much, and you;ve found it all.

  15. There is profound depth in love. No matter how deep you get you will never reach the bottom.

  16. The most profound thing in life is to determine your purpose. I feel so blessed to spend my life discovering the profundities in my life and helping others determine theirs. Life is as beautiful and magnificent as we make it. I get to spend mine finding the new lessons in every day. Profound.

  17. Some life altering statement or experience that affects ones life.
To be profound is to be so deeply meaningful that everything else stops. I find it is the reaction to the thought that is profound, rather than the thought itself.

  18. There is nothing
    more profound
    than true love
    expressed in full.

    Not love as one feels
    in a passion,
    or in a flutter
    of the chest–

    these are
    but flickers
    in the dark.

    True love does not
    seek to conquer
    or consume
    our mortal souls.

    It lifts us up;
    and quells
    our sorrows;

    It comforts us
    in dimmest
    lights.

    It does not replace
    what we once were–
    but enriches who we are
    and resonates

    throughout

    our very being.

  19. Dropped to the bottom of the sky,
Misconstrued till i have no clue what the true being is.

    Ever more profound.

  21. Profound is deep, literally. Profonde means deep in French. But in French, you can have un lac profond, in English, you can’t have a profound lake. So not so literally. But the weird thing is, in French, you don’t say shallow, you say peu profond.

  22. I don’t really know what this word means. It’s Pro and Found put together. Could it be about someone who’s pro at finding things? Could it mean the opposite? I could be completely wrong about this word. I could be completely off about “profound.” It’s not my fault I don’t know it.

  27. Wisdom never came so deep,
    Rather found in shallowness,
    Comparing to nothings,
And I wonder who they are,
Taking it to be something much more magnificent,
When in actually, it is so weak.

    I walked into the room
Thrown into yet another situation that was new to me.
    Not knowing what to expect,
    I glanced around the room
    Looking for a familiar face.
As my eyes dart around the room
    They land on you,
And your eyes land on me
A small smile slides across my face
As I see your eyes light up.

  36. First of all, it looks spelled wrong to me. You know like words do sometimes especially after you’ve been looking at them for a while. But this one looked wrong as soon as I saw it. Sometimes things look wrong but they’re not.
