  1. He tied himself up like a pretzel up there on the stage. The music was mesmerizing as he contorted himself in many unimaginable ways. His fun approach to ridiculous body movements made me wonder what it might be like to do some twisting fun with him in the sackaroonio!

  2. mmm pretzels are soo good. Me and my dad would eat them at baseball games. we would go see the yankees and he would buy me one but he never liked them salty so he would pick the salt granes off one half of the pretzel and I would leave them on the other half and we would eat one togther.

  3. pretzel is like when we fit each other perfectly and we are all tangled limbs and lovely but also like delicious salty pretzels with mustard which is the only way to eat a pretzel and sunny Central Park days with friends in photographs and also a strange euphemism for a sexual act but it’s not what you think and what really else can i say about pretzels other than pretzels covered in dark chocolate are the best thing on earth.

  5. She didn’t like how salty the pretzels were, but she smiled and nibbled on them anyway. She hadn’t eaten all day, and she was bloody starving, and of course she picked the party that wasn’t serving any real food. Everyone else looked so dainty and done-up in the cocktail dresses and snappy heels, their pressed slacks and button-down shirts sans ties.

She wished she’d gone to The Pit instead. There she’d be guaranteed moving bodies, hard rock, and the time of her life.

Vamos a actuar!!!

  7. Today I ate a pretzel. One covered in those snowflakes of salt. These flakes seem like too much with each bite but truly it’s just what I need. A pretzel is all I need to make me smile.

  8. I walked the boardwalk today, there was a colorfully lit pretzel stand with a Chilean man running it. I guiltily decided to buy one, it wasn’t the best pretzel I’d ever had, maybe it was a tad stale, but it’s the single thing that made me feel better in the slightest imprinted in my mind when I recall that night. That night when you betrayed my trust, and ruined everything.

I like you big curled like yoga. spiraled like a figure eight, one piece of bread that looks like separate arteries and ventricles of a heart, a human or animal heart, primates alike, like amphibions too.

  11. Her lithe body twist around him like a pretzel, arms circle his neck, legs loop with his own. She melds them together, so neatly that soon outside observers want be able to tell where her body begins and where hers begins. Yet still a distance exist between them, just not a physical one.
“I’m sorry..I’m sorry..I’m sorry… He whispers over and over again for her ears only.
She presses her face closer to his, until their their foreheads touch, and their hair mingles, effectively cutting off his apology. When she speaks, minty breath wafts into his nostrils spreading awareness to his body. He is suddenly aware of the locker ridges cleaving into his back. Yet the sharp pain seems vastly unimportant when confronted with the girl he loves. He has to make it right.
Her lips, painted crimson with her favorite lipstick near his slack jaw.
“It’s forgiven.” She hisses lips ghosting over his own teasingly. “I love you to much to ever let you go.”

  12. They’re yummy. I like the ones at the mall. Except they have WAY too much salt on them. Gross. Salt. It’s really nasty. Seriously. Bleh. So, now I have more time. Pretzels are German, right. Germany, 10 points!

    by Rebecca Menard on 05.22.2011
  13. The pretzel was scrumptious and delicious but it lacked a sort of saltiness that I would normally have preferred. It was one of those non-folded pretzels too, instead it was just straight and long. I hate that.

  14. Pretzels were always my favourite food as a kid, and as a teen and for most of my adult life. That changed one day; when i saw a man bent into a pretzel. Now whenever I see one I hear him screaming over the cracking of his bones. The look on his face.

  15. well, there it goes. It’s all gone, and no one can do anything about it. Maybe one more will be hiding in the folds of the cellophane, or forgotten behind a chair leg, and you’ll get to experience that salty crunch once more. But alas, there is none, and you’re left with an empty feeling deep inside of you. The pretzels are all gone.

  31. Anything to do with Germans and their culture makes me drool all over the place with patriotic glee and happiness. German pretzels make that figurative drooling literal. With its perfectly salted outward appearance and the fat, soft, satisfying taste. Mmmm – thank you, Germany, for being awesome.

  32. The shape of a pretzel shows great depth into whatever the creator was thinking. The heart shape obviously symbolises the love he felt for a person, whereas the knotted shape could be something to do with that also. Either way, I love them.

  34. Twisted. Complicated yet simple. Salty like your words that pour into my wounds. Complex without being overly so. Intricate might be a better description.

  35. A pretzel has many twists and turns, like life, but you have to take it with a grain of salt. No pretzel is perfect, sometimes they’re shaped funny, or burned, but the reality is they are all equally beautiful and unique, and no, I’m not still talking about pretzels.

    by Ian on 05.22.2011
  36. Pretzels were her favorite snack. Salty as they could come or as sweet as sunshine. She would get one whenever she passed by the shop. Or two, or three. But out of the blue she never came back. And now I’m left with pretzels. They could be saltier than the sea or sweeter than laughter but they couldn’t bring her back.
