  1. thats a stupid poetic flower, that girls like writing about to describe love and concepts in a very cliche way. it means nothing to me except disgust with how unoriginal humanity is.

  4. Flowers were never my forte. I can’t tell you the difference between a daisy and a dandelion, but I can tell you that I never once received flowers. Not from a man, not from my ex of three years, not from my mother, everyone assumed my tom-boyish nature, proud stance, and independence forswore them. But honestly, I have always wanted a rose.

  7. The flower was purest white in appearance, with the faintest hint of crimson running in oddly fluid-seeming veins through it that were almost imperceptible to the naked eye. It was a sight she would never forget.

  9. oh what i see when i look at the bloom
reaching for the small crack of sun from the dingy window
chasing life and trying to stay ahead of death
    how does it do it?
i know this flower’s plight is the same as mine
death cannot come for me just yet.

  11. the fragile flower droops slightly
    as i glance its direction
why do i have this unnatural talent for killing living things?
    especially the gorgeous ones

the bloom fades as quickly as it came
after all, everyone told me that orchids are hard to take care of.
so why am i so disappointed?

  12. The orchid was white, not the color I was used to only a sad version of the memories I’d accumulated during my youth. I hate orchids, they smell like death and taint with life. I wish this world were rid of them before the day was through.

Tomorrow though, I’ll water my mothers horrid orchids and smile.

  14. The roots of the orchid were as purple as the blossoms, diving into the earth like an olympian of olde. You can tell I really mean a long time ago by the extra ‘e’ on the end of ‘old.’ As things age, they gain extra letters in that fashion.

  15. she picked at the orchid’s petals uneasily. “What the hell am I supposed to do with this thing?”

“Grow it I guess?” he supplied.

She scoffed. “Bah! That’s no good. It’s supposed to help me save the universe isn’t it?”

  24. i walked into the apple orchid and was confused. This was where the note said to go but i did not see my girlfriend. I started walking towards the middle of the orchard. My foot hit something and I look down. To my horror my girlfriends head is staring at me. Her body is no where to be seen.

  25. The orchid, a plant that all women value and many men know to be the perfect flower for their love. It’s radiant and promises trust, fath and unconditional love. It’s beautiful and the men who offer them believe their woman is beautiful too. It’s not just a plant,l it’s a symbol of affection.

  26. I love orchids. They are so exotic and very, very sexy. I’m not sure if they are my favourites, because they are not a really fdriendly flower. They give the impression of being floral royalty. Look, but don’t touch. Admire from afar, and treat with great respect. Carnations are mmy favourite, I suppose. They are like friends – like a lovable pet. Orchids are more like having the Queen in your house.

  31. From the orchid came the life that Jake had been waiting for. The rose. It sprung up, taking over the orchid, forcing Jake, weeping, to his knees. He crawled towards the rose and could only hear the power of it calling to him. The sounds of the city meant nothing and were nothing.

  34. She was a beautiful flower.
    Flowers grow in the ground.
Grounded were her beliefs in herself and the universe.
Universally, she was content to fasten her seatbelt and sit along for the ride.
Riding the coattails of her classmates and bringing down the curve.
Curving her ambitions to meet the ones she felt people wanted her to meet.

  35. A single white orchid surrounded by white roses and daisys. It fell in an abundant cascade wafting the delicate scent of flowers throughout the room. SHe didnt reall think she would be standing here with this buquet. The one so like her mothers. She always had hoped but didnt think things would have gone quite this way. She thought there would be love and happiness and excitement about the day. She didnt think she would feel resignation and a slight twinge of dissapointment. Why is she doing this again….ohyeah…because she lost that bet. Damn.
