  3. We are in orbit – stubbornly, relentlessly circling one another. There is some gravitational pull between us that keeps us at this unyielding distance, a proximity we don’t overstep. Such a grand star, greatly taken for granted.

  9. An orbit is like life. You go round in circles endlessly getting no where, but stuck to life like gravity for no apparent reason. You feel you need to stick by what goes and continue this way. Life is purely just an artificial orbit.

  10. I began to orbit around the room. Searching for clues. I knew if I could just find that one clue, I could solve everyone’s problems. It was as though, this room held so many answers and so many questions all at once. If that one could just reveal itself to me, I think I could answer all of those questions.

  13. I can feel my orbit changing from what it used to be. I will no longer revolve around anyone else but myself. And this is feeling like a good thing. Some real time to figure myself out. And find my own stars.

  18. To go around. Like the earth. Or the sun. Or the planets which orbit non-stop. I am not sure what will happen once my minute is up. I hope I can email this so it can be graded. This is making me nervous. When will the minute be up? My 8th grade class is not working very well on their Pompeii.

  23. I move from thought to thought, memory to memory, relaying it all. Ti circles inmy head as if it has an orbit in my mind. Nothing seems to bounce them out. Until, a friend comes over, offers a silent moment or two and then said, “Never let you tears and sensitivity blind you. If someone hurt you, they have shown their true self. Move on.”

  33. He was the center of the universe, or at least, the center of mine. And I wasn’t the only planet in orbit around him. But that was okay, I could be one of dozens, or hundreds, I didn’t care. As long as gravity connected us, I didn’t mind at all.

  40. John had been genuinely surprised to learn of Sherlock’s ignorance of the Earth’s orbit. To be fair, the knowledge would rarely factor in to most human motives. It was just… John wondered what else Sherlock was ingorant about. Would he know what chemicals had flammable properties? Which bones would need immediate treatment when broken? How to start a fire when stranded in the woods?
John tried to stop worrying, assuring himself that whenever another one of Sherlock’s gaps in knowledge surfaced, he would be there to fill it in.
