  1. October is my favorite time of the year. Everything is crisp and slightly depressing. The chill in the air perfectly mimicks my mood, and everything is quiet. You can feel so alone, almost peaceful.

  3. October. Halloween. During Halloween, there are different little creatures running around the street. The creatures are children dressed in lively costumes. The children are overpowered and assume the role of what they are dressed of. They go door to door, asking for candy. Trick or Treat. Really makes me wonder why on October, the Day of the Dead, you see children dressed as little pink ponies and fairies and cartoon characters. Makes no sense……..

  15. The wind was cool and blowing hard. Snow began to fall, but refused to stick to the ground. “October in Ohio,” Rebecca said to herself as she walked to the bus stop.

It was halloween, and for the first time in her life she decided to not go trick-or-treating. She wasn’t sure why, but 12 felt to old to go around and beg for candy. The real reason, though, was her mother. Her mother had forced her to be mature. Her mother had made her grow up. Her mother was the reason she lost her innocence.

But that was almost a year ago, that was a day that Rebecca tried to forget. That was a day exactly like the one that surrounded her as she walked to the bus stop on that snowy October morning.
