Obsolete is what things are when no one uses them anymore… but a lot of things we say are obsolete are really beautiful relics of a simpler time in the past when things were easier and life was good. But life is still good. Just because phonographs and 8-track are obsolete doesn’t mean music has suffered any great loss of its ability to express the feelings of the soul.

  5. It was almost sad seeing it all in the trash. All of my toys from the time past. An old Walkman cassette player, the first GameBoy, even an old 386 PC. Sadly my dog was also in there.

  6. Sometimes I really feel like so…obsolete…but the trick is to move forward and forget that I have thought or felt it. Obsolete can become useful again once a use is found for it!

  8. every day new technology grows more and more out of date. it’s getting ridiculous. one minute ipods are all the rage and a week later everyone’s got the new next thing. what’s wrong with things staying the way they were? i liked ipods.

  9. Obsolete! Completely out of fashion, we’ll have none of that here where fashion mavens reign supreme! That’s why folks are buying it up for a song..cause its going out of style. Fire sale prices!! Miss matched and odds and ends, no longer hokey interior designs look the fashion, only matchy match here folks!!!!

  13. An obsolete concept in and of itself. The runoff of a society that places value on production and consumption over actual worth. Always a new one, always a better one, bigger, faster, smarter, smaller. This one makes phone calls and toast. Mine just works as an electric razor.

  23. When i thkn of obsolete i think of destruction … the end of all things … kind of like what the human race is doing to our plat. really sad in fact obsolete = the absence of anything. Missing all things good and all things remembered.

  25. Obsolete. Much like my social life. Meaning its nonexistent of course. But what else can I expect with 9 extracurriculars? And 15 hours of piano a week on that. Its no wonder really, although one does begin to wonder if its healthy to have an obsolete social life… eh, guess I will never fine out.

  30. obsolete and forgotten are times long ago that were simpler styles of life

    today with technology many do not even know about little things of long ago

    technology will out-knowledge itself as we know it today and today will be obsolete

  31. Everything seems to become obsolete, so why don’t we find a way to obsolete obsolete? That way everything would stay new and we wouldn’t have to buy new stuff and the Chinese wouldn’t be so powerful anymore.

  32. There are so many things that have become obsolete in my lifetime, it’s hard to even begin naming some. The one thing that I can remember going obsolete as of recent would have to be the portable tape player or Walkman. So much for my Beastie Boys tapes.

  36. technology is one thing that is constantly becoming obsolete. just last night i was playing my old NES system, and as i watched the screen blink and the graphics fade, it was sad to think i wouldn’t be able to replace those games easily anymore. the hot new systems are hot for a few years, before something takes their place.
