  1. Bossy, in-charge, on time, and professional these are the aspects that conclude the word manager to me. Power equals corruption and absolute power corrupts absolutely so its only right to divide the power in company’s so the balance of power is there.

  2. i need a job and i need to speak to a manager
    im the boss
    im in charge

  3. My manager is a total bitch. Seriously. My teacher in junior year english said never to use that word to describe another female, but when you’re twenty four and a Wellesley English graduate with nothing to show for it except a job folding semi trend cheap clothing made in China, well, your manager is a total bitch.

    by Sabina on 08.05.2011
  4. the boss the person who tells you what to do you have to follow orders. whatever he says you do. you get paid more than everyone else. you have to be nice to him and respect. the big boss. un puesto alto. more money. but he has a boss too. gives the orders.

  5. Life is not meant to be managed.
    It’s meant to be done.
    No structure.
    Nothing.
    It is to be done.
But, we are forced to manage ourselves anyways.
    We are our own managers.

  6. I hate my manager. She’s on vacation in Vegas right now. I hope she chokes on a poker chip and winds up pregnant and married and stays there forever. Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. That’s the rule. She better abide by it and stay there.

by I shouldn't disclose my name I don't want to be fired on 08.05.2011
  7. Someone who hold power over you. You hold the power unless you let someone else hold the power, in which case, why are you letting someone else hold what you should have for yourself? Don’t you respect yourself enough? Does someone who’s in charge of you have more power because they ARE powerful, or because you LET them be more powerful? Who can REALLY say what power is besides you or who you are? Are you less than what you COULD be because you can’t see yourself as being powerful? Or USEFUL? I’m not sure what power is anymore.. but I know that it rests with you and you alone. You can’t let other people define you and control how much power you can have.

  8. Being a manager is tough, there’s no doubt. A manager must be able to cope with all the tasks given to him. A manager must be able to withstand the pressure dealt to them and be able to solve problems even in extreme conditions.

  9. someone in charge, but not necessarily more knowledgeable than those underneath them….possibly just better at kissing ass and selling out to the man…or they actually do care about the job/position

    by Jewls on 08.05.2011
  10. I have too many managers at work, it annoying. Too many cooks in the kitcken and all that. They are all in cahoots with eachother. Theres a lot of favoritism where I work, it makes it hard to work there most of the time. Its good money however, so I stay and I suffer.

  12. sometimes unraveling, somewhat undermining, sometimes a leader, sometimes a teacher, sometimes a friend when I need it, a revelation, a new beginning, a land of knowledge

    by Patricio on 08.05.2011
  13. sorting, organising, deciding what needs to be done and who should do it. That would be me then. No one else does anything around here. I should go on a management course, or more accurately ‘how to manage a family without letting parental guilt overwhelm you into being a self sickened martyr to a pointless cause…..

    by georgie on 08.05.2011
  14. I am in control of me.
I am the captain of this vessel.
    I steer the course.
    I follow my heed.
I am the leader of me.

  15. The manager was a creepy fellow. he likes to stare at the ladies aisle. He always sniffed the customers and as he sniffed them he rolled his eyes back. I don’t trust this manager. Everytime a child would walk by him he would have this evil grin frozen on his face. If this is how he acts in public imagine how he acts at home.

    by Jessica Peele on 08.05.2011
  16. Manager…boss work job rules, I hate rules. Hate them. Back on topic, managers are around to ensure that rules are followed, deadlines are met, projects are finished, and the results are satisfactory. It can sometimes be insanely frustrating due to how many idiots are likely to be employed at a company.

  17. It was always the longest days that wore on her since she became a manager. Before, long days had just been long, not particularly difficult, but now she had so many more duties. Customers always complaining, always whining, always wanting something else. Nothing was ever good enough for them.

  18. Working under people who have no time for you. Don’t care that there’s no money in your register, don’t care that you can’t scan an item. Only worry about the face of the business and getting paid. At least there’s the occasional nice one.

  19. I liked her. I want a new one. One who will be my friend. I wish I had a manager of my life. I guess I do. I suppose we ALL have a manager of our life. I call him God. He really does make my life, and everything in it. I see him in all the beauty, in me, in everyone and every day.

  20. The manager I used to have at the restaurant culver’s was such an asshole. I couldn’t even wear bracelets because that guy was such a prick. He was probably one of the worst managers I have ever had. I don’t like managers at all unless it’s me.

    by Sean on 08.04.2011
  21. I had a dream one time that i was a manager of a band (yah I know I have alot of dreams~). It was pretty cool and I made so much money! I wish it was real, but I woke up. so i guess not.

  22. My mother was a micro-manager, we never really got along in my teenage years. I guess very few teenage girls did….but when I grew older we worked things out. I was always more laid back, but she really helped me plan my wedding. She died a few years ago in a car accident. I wish now more than ever that she was around to micro-manage my life again. My marriage is starting to fall apart, I think we might loose the house, I thought I would have children with this man, but now I think it’s too late. Maybe I was too laid back. Maybe we could all stand to be a little more like our mothers.

  24. The managers of kpop groups should treat idols better, sometimes I think they forget that they’re just kids trying to live their dreams and later their lives just becomes a nightmare.

    by ChibiTVXQ on 08.04.2011
  25. She managed everybody else’s lives: her husband’s, her two daughters’, and her son’s. When was she going to get a chance at happiness? It’d been so long.
As she got in her car, she meant to drive home. Really. As she drove the same streets, sat in the same traffic, saw the same ads, her car took her somewhere else. Her hands and her feet were working separately from her brain. Where was she going?
Her destination was unknown yet she was more relaxed than she had been in years. She was getting away. Finally. Away from everybody else’s needs, wants, concerns. Her freedom was quickly approaching; she wasn’t going to stop now.

  26. I want to be a manager and the maybe get a lot of money, maybe a kpop manager and treat better kpop idols so they will be happy and they won’t leave

  28. In my company works only one person, so I’m my own manager. It helps me to pretend having a conversation between manager me and employee me. Employee me said I want more acknowledgement for doing my best. Manager me said fair enough.

  31. my manager makes me sick most of the time. she expects you to kiss her ass just to get along with her, and its not fair. i wasn’t hired to kiss your ass or bring you shit or listen to your stories or listen to you overshare. we are not friends. we are frickin coworkers, that’s it. damn.

    by blair on 08.04.2011
  32. The boss. The person in charge at a place of work. Most employees under him/her don’t like them; often talked about behind their back.

    by Brittney Ulloa on 08.04.2011
  33. My manager threw the papers onto my desk in a fit of anger. I watched in shock as my hours of work were scattered all over the floor by the dusty fans.

  34. You know, I’ve only had a few managers that I actually liked. It wasn’t just their personalities either… the ones that I didn’t like, from what I remember, they really didn’t do their jobs well. I got along really well with the managers that really did do their jobs and managed to not be jerks.

  35. I don’t want to work for you, to do the things you want me to do. Learn to delegate. I guess that’s good, but I must confess that I don’t want to do the things you want me to. I’ll teach for you, but the stuff I won’t do. I won’t do real work for you.

That being said, thanks for the check!

  37. Working for this establishment is a pain in the ass. Being the manager I always hear the problems and frankly lady, I do not give a shit about you and your groceries.

    by Gabby on 08.04.2011
  38. i already said to my boy i was going to come home to buy him groceries which is above all else his most favorite thing to do i said and he said back to me “im managing this company, you manage your family on your own time” and so i sat and sulked in my cubicle only to by consoled by my scented aroma therapy candles

  39. 20 percent goes to you. 80 percent to the manager, were the words she lived by. this was why she didn’t like being a prostitute, she’d rather just be a hooker, her own person. She didn’t like having to report in. When she was her own, she got all the money she made, and got to decide who, when, and where. She liked that. But, having a manager meant she had housing she didn’t have to pay for. And that meant a lot too.
