  1. They say I’m lucky. Lucky because I don’t feel anything. Lucky because I don’t have to deal with pain in the same way as they do. I don’t have to deal with heartberak. I don’t have to deal with loss or hunger. Well let me tell you this – I am breaking. I am breaking with my yearning for something; anything. Crush me in your arms. Crush me underneath you. I just want to feel something or anything again.

  2. What is luck? Doesn’t luck negate the need for God? Luck would make sense if there was no God, but there is. And all things happen with His knowledge, for He is sovereign. So to be lucky–no such thing. To be blessed–very real.

  3. The door swung open clumsily as I walked carefully into the seemingly empty room. Luck had nothing to do with it. A lock-pick and some patience were the only factors in my ability to gain entrance. Standing alone in a damp and badly lit brick-walled basement, I nearly lost myself in thought and forgot what I had came for.

  4. how lucky I am to have you in my life. to have you at all. maybe these are just thoughts stemming from the dedicated-to-love quotes website I just visited.. there was even one from Eclipse there that I especially loved (your hated under-written waste of a novel, and my guilty childish pleasure). maybe that just means that you need to give things a chance.

Because sometimes you just can’t help what that infinite sadness would have you do.

  27. If there’s one thing in the world that no one could ever understand, it would be luck. With so much at stake in our day-to-day ambivalence, who’s to say what constitutes luck and what constitutes a tangible product of effort? I think we’re blind to the truth. I don’t think there’s a distinction. I think that luck is the will of the universe, the tipping of the scales by powers very omniscient and poorly understood. Romantic, yes, but definitely plausible.
