  10. wheni was 17 years old i lost my gramma. she was my only extended family who i actually liked. my boyfriend at the time yelled at me for going to her funeral rather then going back to cali to see him, for i had moved to texas a couple months before this. i broke up with him after that. and now i am in love with my fiance. i guess her loss resulted in my finding him.

  29. i lost my favourite spoon said the boy. what do you mean you’re favourite spoon? my favourite spoon had a blue handle with stripes and it was big and perfect for pudding. how can i eat my lunch now, said the boy. i don’t think you can, said his mom. i think i will never eat again, said the boy. you’ll have to eat if you want to grow, said the mom. you can grow and grow and grow and buy all the spoons you want. but it won’t be the same! yelled the boy. i want my spoon back! my big blue spoon! where am i ever going to get another blue spoon again? you can look at the flea market with me on sunday. maybe there will be better, bigger spoons! but i want MY spoon. you can start a collection. you can buy one and then another and then another and then you will have lots of spoons and they will all be yous and they will all be special to you because you picked them out, said his mom. it can be your hobby and your legacy. my legacy? asked the boy. yes, your legacy. you can have the biggest collection of all and you can love all of your spoons and give them to your grandchilden when you grow and grow and grow. but first, i’ll make you lunch and you can use my favourite spoon. okay, agreed the boy.

  34. weight loss? love loss? time loss? game loss? whatever the loss, it means going without. it means missing out on something. but for every loss there is a gain isn’t there? weight loss yes, but confidence gained. love loss yes, but new opportunities gained. time loss yes, but there is more around the corner. game loss, maybe. but a chance to practice your skill and do better next time.
