  7. Games, relationships, jobs. All of theese things have levels. Levels distinguish diffrent steps or layers of something. In a relationship you could have a certain level of trust or intamcy or commitment. In a game the levels usually get harder as you go. In a job the higher up level you get hired to the more money you get payed. Leveling something is when you completely wipe it away or flatten it. Which doesn’t really make sense compared to the other definition…

  8. I need levels to make sure things are straight. We have several different sizes, and they’re all handy when I can find them. We need to level out our lawn so it’s easier to play on and walk around, since we’re on such a hill. They say someone is level-headed if he seems balanced. Makes sense, doesn’t it? Then there’s the kind of level that you can jump up and down. Different levels of things…

  13. The level of happiness you feel depends on the effort you put into your life and the happiness of others. The balance and flow matters. What you put out is what you get in. You keep people at levels and expect that you are at that same level on their end. But our perceptions all deceive us.

    As perfect level
    Perfect pitch
    Perfect balance

    Or in the right pitch
    Or even in balance.

    Live it it
    Because good or bad
    It is bearable

  16. level best. its a phrase that I’m not quite sure I understand, until I give something my level best. I guess a better test is when I don’t give it my level best. The grant I’ve been working on for instance, I haven’t been giving it my level best. It’s been rocky, uneven, shaky. Anything but level. And I want to level with you right now, I’m not proud of it. I don’t like how undisciplined I am in my writing, in my cleaning, in just about everything I do these days.

  18. I didn’t know how to get them to be on my level. Not that I wanted them to. I didn’t want to answer their question of, “Well…what can we do?” There is no easy fix in a situation like this. There is no sitting down and solving the problem in one go. Friendships take more than that. But they didn’t realize that, and I could only point it out so many times.

  19. We lived in a three level apartment, but I stood on the fourth staring down on the empty pavement. The sun was just coming up and Nancy didn’t notice me sneaking away from bed. I swear, she never notices anything anymore. She’s not my reason for this though, nor will I allow her to take the credit. Instead, I painted my message in the same yard I’ll be landing in. Weed killer would reveal my deepest secrets in three days and finally the world would know that D.B. Cooper was in fact just regular old Jim Miller.

You took my money, world, but you’ll never take my legacy.

You know when you say a word over and over and it starts to sound strange, there’s a verb in russian for just that, though I don’t remember what it is. I should take my russian to the next level…

  23. It’s a tough one because we all have different levels we’re stuck on. Different boss we really need and want to pass but somehow don’t manage too. That’s when friends comes in handy they help you get through those failures, back on your feet and trying again.

  31. Is the definition of advancement, whether it be figurative or literal. We advance everyday in our lives: every time we take an elevator or go up a flight of stairs. We also advance in our personal lives, and improve emotionally, at least I like to think so.

Definitely not level headed.

  40. Everyone’s always saying they are going to “take it to the next level.” Really? Is everything so hierarchical? I doubt it. I bet some things don’t have more than one level–maybe two, max. But even if you could do this supposed “taking,” why be a taker? Why not “bring it to the next level”? Isn’t that a bit more helpful, and doesn’t it imply that you are already ahead of the game? C’mon. No, wait! Don’t say “bring it.” Please!
