i love to mess around with key chains i always shake them and rattle them then i throw them up in the air or i put my finger in the biggest key chain and like turn it and catch it.
Time was running out. In less than a minute, they would be coming around the corner; Jeff needed to be safely inside before then. Why were there so many keys on this keychain? He could never guess the correct key on the first try.
I have a small elephant on my keychain. I usually have nothing – and have to grovel in the bottom of my bag. But my daughter found it for me. It seemed a bit twee at first but now I love it.

Keychains, often an unappreciated item, are perhaps one of the most useful of everyday objects. Without them, keys would be displaced in all manner of places, without any way of collecting them together. Even opening doors would be a total inconvenience!

Of course, I have a ring that I keep my keys on, and all the various and sundry little store cards that stay with my keys, but it has been years since I’ve had an actual, fun, interesting keychain. I wonder why that is.
I like noticing and reflecting on the ways people choose their keychains and what that shows about them. Right now, my keys are all linked together and attached to a short (3 foot) tape measure I got at Home Depot. It reminds me that I am, first and foremost, a sculptor (and an artist). I am always ready to measure a space for an installation, or plan a next ceramic project.
