  1. I bought a keychain at Disneyland one year. It’s Minnie Mouse, and she’s swinging from it with one tiny white fist, clutching it for dear life. But the look on Minnie’s face is that of pure bliss and happiness. I still have the keychain, and she’s since lost her nose and one foot. But she’s still smiling, as happy as ever, dangling by a finger as she’s tossed and turned about the world.

  2. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to keep this keychain safe. Nothing. And yet, the damn thing is missing its bell. What the hell? Where’s the bell? I can’t believe the bell’s gone. It must have been Pomme the cat. She has a thing for bells and she’s evil. She doesn’t think I know she’s planning something, but I know and I’m pretty sure she’s behind this somehow.

  6. i swear i left it here some where i yelled from the foyer.
you always say that dave yelled back.
he came walking up to me with the key chain in hand, slipped his hand around my waist and whispered in my ear – and you’re always wrong.
i shoved him back laughing, saying, yeah but it’s part of my charm

  7. I used to have lots of things on my keychain. Keys, cards, dangly toys. But then I realized that I never actually use my keychain. It sits at the bottom of my purse. So I took all the danglies off and I only use it to occasionally unlock the door now.

  8. When I I was younger, I lost my hoodie. I loved that hoodie. When I was a bit older I fell in love, only to lose my love a few weeks later. I loved Maria. The other day, I lost my house. The entire house. The entire location!

Now, I am standing in the middle of a vacant lot, beside Maria’s house, clutching my keychain, looking like a damn fool. Again.

She looked at the keychain with a gentle smile. “Thanks grandma…” She whispered as she grasped the small metal heart in her fist. “I wish I could have seen you before you…” She paused and sighed. It was saddening to know that this was the last gift her grandma was able to send out before she had passed away.

  17. I have a motorcycle keychain on my set of keys and it reminds me of one significant person. It takes me back to the day when we went to the motorcycle convention, spending every last ounce of our day with each other before we couldn’t. I’d do anything to go back to that day at least for a second.. that’d be plenty enough. But then again, it’s not over. And that’s what is so exciting; memories were created, memories are remembered and looked back, but there’s so much more ahead of us.

  18. I have a keychain that I carry with me everywhere. It’s horribly boring, just the normal car keys and house keys on it, but there is one bauble on there that I love. A little pink quartz gem that is supposed to symbolise love. Why I bought this for myself I don’t know. And why I don’t replace it with something else I also don’t know.

  29. Assuming that keyring means keychain. I have a really cool keyring that’s a little Lego princess figure. I was going to use her on the wedding cake but her head was screwed to the chain too tight. Now her face is rubbing off, and she looks quite scary.

  32. I don’t really care that the word is keychain. I’m gonna write what I want to. My new word is college. alll these forms are asking why. why do i want to go to college? well shit. i dunno. maybe cause i’m a straight a student. maybe cause thats what comes next. maybe cause its what everyone expects. maybe cause my parents would lose all respect for me if i didnt. maybe cause im not ready for the “real” world. what else would i do? im terrified for college. but im more terrified of what comes after that. sure college basically required for any career path. but its also a way to stall. gives me four more years to figure myself out. and grad school should give me a few more after that. but what on earth am i gonna do when i run out of degree to earn? that presents a problem. cause i just dont know. i really don’t.

  36. little dangling spark of light on sunnier days you keep hips warm with pelvic dreams, hold in your little brass body the opening of doors harder to pry than your attached leg lust of fury. I’ll slide thumbs through your crevasses if only to grasp you harder, have you hold something of mine a bit too tight, bruise fingertips in attempts. but its quite alright for your use is of a modern simplicity I appreciate.

My grandparents thought my brother collected them… poor kid, ended up with at least 20! when grandparents don’t know you very well they sure do grasp onto a gift giving trend.
