fuck. When I was a teenager I thought I had to have a cool keychain. A classy keychain. One from Coach or some other pretentious suburban retail brand. But now, at 28, my keychain has two rubber skulls that glow in the dark to tell me which key goes to what door.
One gift that I got for my senior gift for theatre is a keychain with my name on it from my theatre teacher. She really liked how I tried something new. I played football and high school and she liked how I got out of my comfort zone and tried something new.
I lost my keychain on Monday morning and didn’t find it until Friday. It was muddy, sticky and scratched. I don’t know what route it had traveled but I found it under the front door mat, a place I never would put keys because the cats would ahve them lost. I wish my keychain could talk.
