I have always sat on the side lines watching everyone else have fun. I was the weird kid who just didn’t fit in. I thought things would change in high school or maybe college. I always felt alone, and just wanted to join in. I envisioned having a large group of friends, always the life of the party and happy. Finally as an adult I decided to embrace my weird. I proudly walked with my green hair, abnormal clothes and weird personality. Suddenly I get asked to join. I take a look inside and I see they are not any happier than I was. I think I will stay outside and not join.
ask me to join you
involve me in your
plans, think of me
first when making
them, or at least at
all.
Maybe then I’d feel like you love me.
Join together, family singing, hands together, warmth through hands and hearts
