  9. Like all things you want badly and then get, sometimes the reality is not as good as the fiction. It is the same with husbands. Everyone wants the romance, the affection, the courting, but the day to day living with a husband comes as a horrible anticlimax to what was a great relationship. Marriage changes the way people behave. The need to please – to woo, to show their perfect side – no longer exists for marriage isn’t perfect and nor are the two people in it. Do we want a husband or a lover and how can we combine the two? I don’t have it figured out yet but I do have a husband so I’m working on it.

  13. I was her husband, I was married to her and wed to her until death did us part. As the years went by and the honeymoon period went by, our love disappated and faded. I longed for the same passion that we held in the first stages of our relationship, the fire, the air, the life.

  14. She lit the candle on the table and smiled at the scene laid out in front of her – a silk white cloth, beautiful silverware and a home cooked meal for two underneath the dim lighting and dark candles. She knew that she hadn’t been the best wife lately and her husband deserved so much more but she also knew that that is what marriage is – making allowances for each other because you love each other and her husband meant everything to her.

  15. I hope to one day have a husband, but despite the desire for it to be so, I can’t imagine myself falling into the arms of another. I can’t even comprehend trusting anyone as much as I did before; I can’t even conceive becoming so close to an individual.

    I can’t imagine a kiss; I can’t imagine a life with anyone.

  23. married life, they make the money and the wife spends it. They’re there to love and protect their wife. They have to teach the sons how to shave and they have to tame the dog. They shouldn’t cheat and they should always be sweet to their ladies. They should be respectful towards their wife’s mother and father, they should also make a lot of jokes. I mean, a lot! they have to be funny, well, my husband will have to be. I like funny guys. My husband will also have to like science fiction and the Big Bang Theory. He will read the newspaper a lot and only tell me about the things he knows I’d like to hear.

his hand and mine embrace, rings are placed and I feel nothing and everything. Gasping and ecstasy. The priest is reading and getting closer and closer, slower and slower yet faster and non stopping.
Almost to the end I cannot even breath. I look into your eyes and in that moment I am 18 years old again and I’ve realized how in love with you I am. It’s all gonna be alright. I do, you are my husband, you are my best friend.

  30. The man that is an anchor, a support. He takes inspiration from his surrounding family and they support him as much as he supports them. He is loving, caring, strong, a modern day superhero that is nothing without his wife. Until she is gone or he si gone, they are nothing without one another – and then, they become everything when thye are alone. The husband, the honor of being a potential father, the lover.

  33. Maybe Taeyeon wanted one of that… a husband who could take care of her or who could be a pillar for her to lean on, well, only if a husband came in a cardboard box with instruction manuals.

“Taeyeon-ah, I’ll be home really late today, tell the rest not to wait for me and it would also be great if you could make soup? I think I need supper after the rehearsals! Thank you! ^^.”

There was a heavy sigh after she read the text message, but maybe she want something more than a husband.

“She’s not going to be here for dinner again?” Sooyoung asked as she peered over her little friend’s shoulders.

“Yeah, busy schedule.” She wanted someone to stay more.

  34. The first night we met, you smiled at me and took my number. I fell for you that night. Never met anyone that could make me feel so safe. After that fall, I knew you were going to be that special person we all wish to meet. I was 17, you stole my heart. You left me and things started to fall apart. You came back and we grew in our summer under the palm trees, dancing and living in a world that was all our own. You kept my heart.
Now you have left again. You say such sweet things and make me think we will get back together, am I believing in a silly dream that everyone lives happily ever after? Am I foolish to think that we will ever be together, you my husband and I your wife? I am young and naive yes. But I’m also am wiser than I think I am, sure of how I feel about you and am determined.
How can love do this to me? Slash all logic. Cut all sense of right and wrong. I am lost and you are not here. Someone tell me I’m not crazy. Someone tell me that it’ll all work out.

  35. If she could accept him as her husband, what would she gain? What would she lose?
Could she have the freedom she had always clung to in her youth? Or would she be stuck at home, taking care of children she never knew she wanted. Would she be expected to clean up after him and anyone else they bring in to the house?
She looked into his eyes, and didn’t know if she could say the two words he so desperately wanted to hear, the reason they were here, the words that would change their lives forever. They’d come this far but could she go further?

  36. Husbands can be a huge pain and hindrance or your biggest help. I am often jealous of the women with supportive husbands who do the whole team thing. Luckily mine is BEGGINING to come around to the idea. But still it seems like a martyr thing sometimes.

  40. A futuristic, hypothetical, potential sort of word. Something I can see myself having but my independent sensibilities repel. A woman must be her own, and a man must be his. But once he is a “husband,” she is a “wife,” and they can no longer simply be she and him.
