  1. Jack tended to find it humorous when Yuusei would wake up late. He liked to watch through one slitted eye as the darker-haired one sat up slowly, gave a stretch and bared a taut, muscular figure, before rising, glancing at the clock, and making a face. A face that resembled horror. He’d trip to the shower, come back out, throw on his boots and dash out the door.

Yuusei could never stop and smell the roses, could he?

  2. it’s quite humorous actually. right before she killed herself, her mother said she was the qorst part of her life, that she alone, a fifteen year odl girl had ruined it. now, the mother wishes those words had never left her mouth. oh how funny the situation is now.

  4. Theory of the humours of the body: the viscosity and colour of the fluids within you can tell a lot about you.

The robot put down the book and stared at itself, pondering about the oil and gasoline flowing through its metal vessels. I wonder what I’m like? Thought the robot. A robot who thinks. Who’da thunk?

  5. Humor comes in so many flavors. And it hurts so much when your humor doesn’t work with someone else’s. That awkward moment after you recount something that cracks you up and you just know the other person thinks you’re a nut. That awkward moment when you know you sense of humor just didn’t fit with the other person’s.

  7. Ah the humor of April first…I appreciate it. I fear the day that we run out of words. On the upside, someone in the scientific community will probably come up with a new word on that very same day. Something ridiculous like allochthonous– yes structural geologists, I’m looking at you!

    by Jackie on 04.01.2010
  8. POOR GRACE ALMOST LOST ALL SENSE OF HUMOR WHEN SHE THOUGHT THAT HER BELOVED ONEWORD HAD RUN OUT OF WORDS. THE BEST APRIL FOOLS JOKE OF THE DAY ALMOST CAUSED WINE TO SPURT OUT MY NOSE AND THAT LAST CORN CHIP TO LODGE IN MY THROAT. WONDER HOW MANY DEATHS ONEWORD CAUSED TODAY.

  9. Humor can be a cruel and unusual joke. Humor is often talked about in reference to April’s Fool days. A day that some forget even exists. But then there you are getting yourself taken advantage of and you remember.

  13. That moment when you think there is nothing else you could do, that you ran into a dead end and the world just collapsed under your feet.
Sometimes all you can do when you feel like this is laugh, have some humor and live a little. I can’t understand why we all have to worry about things and be super serious about everything.

  15. They used to think that you had “humors” in your body–magical fluids that determined your mood and personality and whatnot. With hormones, it seems like it’s the same thing, but we claim that we have made progress in medicine. Maybe this is the shitty scientist in me speaking, but aren’t we just slapping a new name on the old ways?

    by Danielle on 04.01.2010
  16. You lied,
but I still went with it
    because it was habit
to believe in everything you said.
Even if it was only one word.
Do you think this is funny..
    No, but I love it.

    by Nikki on 04.01.2010

I love your tears and your helplessness.
I love your ups, your downs, and everything in between. I love you, and I’ll never let it show.
    Just something you’ll never know.

  19. It was very humorous what happened to Janie. She was at track practice and the track was a dirt track. It had rained the previous day so it was really muddy and slippery. As she was doing a 400 she slid and went flying through the mud. Everyone started laughing so hard.

    by Emma on 04.01.2010
  20. I slipped my arms through the sleeves of the nondescript white jacket, and snapped the gloves onto my hands. Picking up a scalpel, I resumed my work of meticulously taking apart the eye. With a few deft strokes, I sliced through the vitreous humor and finally reached the retina, where I placed a single electronic chip. Sealing up the eye with enzymatic glue, I reveled in my first successful eye-correction surgery.

  21. This isn’t funny.
    Please don’t laugh.
    I know you’ll see images
of straight-backed, obssessed nerds at the computer.
I know you’ll put me in the office room, but please don’t laugh,
    for your own sake.

    by Rosie on 04.01.2010
  22. That’s was a twisted sense of humor you displayed, my friend. For a moment I wasn’t sure what was going on. What would I do without you pushing me along, helping me to become a better writer? I’m so glad your twisted sense of humor doesn’t show itself often.

  23. Thomas had no sense of humor — Uncle Joe said it first. Then it went on to Aunt Esther and Cousin Brian and finally to mother. But the 13-year-old boy took it astride. He would go to school and play baseball just like the others; however, afterward, he’d dance ballet.

  24. I like to think I have a good sense of humour. Actually I’ve been told it’s a very DRY sense of humour, which is ok, too. Maybe that stems from my love of British comedy. I’ve been told that not many people get it. What’s not to get? I also happen to love Canadian humour.

  28. He was in good humor. It seemed like the perfect time to ask for a raise.

Then I realized his good mood was attributed to the fact that he’d just sacked the last three people who walked into his office.

After I was fired, I deflated the tires on his car. The bastard.

  31. Humor is a funny thing. Haha, how punny. Humor is the thing we try to use to impress others through our own humility. Humility shows that we’re humble, right? Oh, how wrong. Alas, the hours and hours upon hours of Comedy Central Presents Stand Up comedians never fail to amuse me. Not that thas has anything to do with humilty and being humble.
