  4. History is so unique, when you think about it. Its like a bunch of really tangled webs that all intersect each other at some point, like, the things that happen to you, or the people that you meet, the things that you think of, history is like a giant subway map that crosses all over the place, showing where things have gone, and where the future will take them.

  5. history is all about what happened long ago. you have a history and so do i. napoleon bonaparte had a history and now he’s six feet under, or more. But that’s what history’s about. Leaving your mark here in the world for everyone to uncover long after you are gone. History is really such a beautiful and useful thing.

She keeps the words safe in her library, deep under the earth, where the worms dare not wriggle and the moths never nibble on the pages. There is only the Lady here, keeping track of all the world through her great silver mirror.

Last time I tried to find an old music video from a few days earlier I was (hardly) surprised to see the string of porn sites my thirteen year old brother and his perv friends had looked up the previous night… it’s a damn good thing my keys weren’t sticky.. dear god.

    It can make us or unmake us, that is if we don’t learn from history we are at a loss and we can’t move on.
    So start things anew and look back at history, so we won’t make same mistakes again.

  10. history is a really complex, growing thing, you know? like, i feel that it really repeats itself because we;re really not that original. humans, I mean. Like, everything just has to be recycled because we can;t think of anything new, and we learn everything from the past really, because that’s all that we know.

  13. My summer school class is American History. I just finished learning about WWII and now I suppose I’m on to the Cold War. I have four days to finish about eight chapters of work. It’s going to be a bit stressful, but fun!

  14. hate the subject learning from it causes more stress and keeps us from moving forward because we are dwelling in the past, nobody wants to remember our mistakes if it was worth it we would call them memories instead

  19. is a class that i don’t really care much for. it’s what makes us who we are, it’s our past, and our future in a way. every passing second becomes history. historical things become our history. history taken apart sounds like “his story” because it’s sorta like whoever’s life story or whatever. you know.

  23. its changing, comes and goes and repeats itself. pattern of sadness and triumpths that we still havent completely learned from. Its been recorded. Its been forgotten. It belongs to the people and is often fixed and molded into the authors perspective.

  25. Is a view into the present. Time repeats itself, why make the same mistakes if we can avoid it. That relationship may be history but the lessons learnt may help someone else avoid your mistakes. History is important for paving the way forward.

    Probably one of my worst subjects, and yet, I am taking AP U.S. History next year in high school. In hindsight, probably not a good idea, but I always push myself; sometimes a bit too hard. Oh history; can’t wait.

  28. That one AP class I will never forget. It’s not that I’ll never forget all of the pointless US history I learned, but rather, I will never forget how strange that teacher was. Mrs. J, you are one nice lady, but a really strange teacher. I’m glad I’m no longer in that class.

  34. Do you ever wonder what you would change if you could rewrite your own history? But then would altering history affect who you are today? There would be no guarantee things would be better than they are now. Are we better to accept the history we have, the hand we were dealt with full knowledge of who we are than to take a chance of something better?

  38. Not quite sure hat to sy, however, one word reresnts love in my ees. Not sre if my keyboard is messing up but some letters are not appearing. I do think it is my keybord considering that I have nows watched my notarization of my writing and all the letters are appearing correctly.
