For years upon years, decades lost deep in the ocean of experiments it had pulsed its electric pulse, growing and learning and swelling in knowledge and beauty. But finally. Finally it was done.

  5. growing up was one of the things i’d always wanted to do but when i finally actually did it (ish) i mean i’m only fifteen but still, i feel like i’ve already grown up way too fast for my liking and i never get enough sleep anymore and there’s always so much drama and boys are stupid and i just wish that someday i could be able to get through all of this and by someday i mean now so i could maybe skip school and just tour the world.

  6. Holden drops his head, and I hear him sniff back tears. “He just–his habit kept growing. It sounds funny, it does, but he couldn’t go a day without it.”

    With my arms drawn close to my face, I squeak out a, “What?” I’m afraid to reach out; I’m afraid to touch him.

    “Cough syrup.” He draws his eyes to mine. Red and shining. I bite my lower lip. “Hilarious, right? I thought so too. Not any more.”

  7. growing from a kid to an adult. growing is everywhere. flowers are growing. trees are growing. everything around us is growing. society is growing. we are always growing. i guess growing can be good or bad it all depends on how u look at it. if your growing into a good person or a bad person. if your growing into an adult or a kid again. growing just all depends on the way that we look at it.

  8. Growing, growing, gone… I guess that’s what it’s like, you grow so fast you leave people behind. One moment you’re best friends and then eventually they’re gone, or you’re gone – I mean either way the relationship has grown apart and there’s no one to blame.

  11. growing up i had always admired my father. he was a strong, intelligent man. at times he was hard, and unavailable, but weren’t all fathers? i admired his military service, and often i blurred the truth with lies about how many medals he had recieved. but that was then, and after i entered the early years of my adulthood i realized he was nothing but weak, trembling coward.

Everyone has a right of passage. boys grow old. the circle of life. generations upon generation. it’s evolving really. we only learn through growing. lessons learned are invaluable. everything we do here on earth is constantly evolving. growth is the key to life, if you are open to it. only you can control whether you stay in one place or you grow further and move forward with your life. for real.

  26. Children won’t be little for long. Their lives are constantly evolving and soon they will no longer be little hands of mischief. They will evolve and mature so much in such a short time that we must treasure every moment we spend with them. Growing up may be fun for the little humans in your life but it can be a painful process for the parents. Learning to let go and let your babies lead independent lives apart from you is not easy. You won’t be there to hold their hand or wipe their tears all the time. You hold them still and always in your heart and hope they always remember.

  34. Growing up and growing older, it’s something I’ve thought too much about lately. Growing should be positive but sometimes it’s just the opposite–growing apart is something no one should ever have to experience. It crushes and grinds and deteriorates everything you thought you had… it seems like the opposite of what nature intended.
