In the middle of the night, she woke up and saw a glimmer in the trees. It was a blue glow which lit up the tops of the trees. She thought this was a car parked nearby, but she didn’t notice a flat space for parking. She grabbed her to-go back and crept through the trees and saw people dancing in a small meadow; they were wearing old clothes and there was an enticing tune they were dancing to. An old man approached her. “We were wondering when you would wake up. We have come for you.”
Glimmer of hope. Glimmering clothing. Glimmering light. Just light in general. The only other thing I can think of is a cheap stripper that smells of cotton candy perfume.
There was a fluttering light towards the surface of the water. Right where the kids had made tales of sunken treasure, and whose parents whispered of it’s validity. What lay shimmering under the water? And who would be brave enough to bite back at the cold depths to try and fetch it?
