Geometric is relating to math. It has to do with measuring something. Metric relates to the metric system, which is used in most places other than the United States. In the united states we use the opposite of the metric system. for example, we use miles instead of kilometers. And we used inches and feet.

Fun fact: every island has an effectively infinite shoreline. How is this possible, you ask? Well, it depends on how granular you want to measure a coastline, every tin alcove, turn of land, etc. will increase the length. This is a popular application of fractals, and you should Google it.

geometric is a word that describes something that is constructed using geometry. For example, a house can be thought of as geometric because it is constructed using rectangles, triangles, and other geometric shapes. Something that is abstract, is something that does not have geometric shape. An example of this could be a piece of art.

His hand swirled lazily on the table, tracing geometric patterns without thinking. The speech was boring, and he was dying for it to end. Just when the speaker looked about ready to wrap up, she would go off on some tangent that left her breathless and her audience groaning under their breaths.
