  4. assertion was a tired assumption; adjustability dragged through time but uncared for and barely tethered to the flesh sack. the first flex is trust, at the impact of finding truth on a word and having it received like a royal tart, the second presence, with the heart bending behind the ear of the neglected half of the head. The flex that stews in the abundant flux is the gateway between these two, the arch that heralds awareness, allowed to swim at will with the passing of chaos that flows beneath, or safely through the same heralded boundary, one for the self.

  5. He ran toward the door as fast as his legs would take him. On the other side was the radio he needed to use to contact help. It was a Flex, amateur version, with coverage from 6-160 meters. But was there enough time?

  8. We were together in the only place we could really be ourselves. We compete with each other and do whatever, but then, I noticed he kept flexing his arm. Veins beneath his flesh came out, and I wondered why he kept doing it. There’s no need to impress me. And then, he told me: he was making sure his arm hadn’t got numb from his father’s beatings.

  9. On this thought , I pause, , think about it too much. I make mistakes , but I find the flex in the text of my words before the bell chimes on the cusp.

  10. “Okay class, stand up straight and stretch! Act like you’re pulling a rope down from the ceiling. Flex! Reach, reach!” Alexandra stuck her hands in the air but, instead of waving them like she just didn’t care, acted as if she was reaching for a rope suspended from the ceiling. It was a change, she had to admit.

  11. Weird flex but okay. I don’t understand that meme and that scares me – am I getting old? Or is it the children who are wrong? Surely I’m okay right? I’m scared of everything though – including dying alone and old and withered. Weird flex I guess, yeah? I need to have a good life. But how? Need is a strong word too huh I guess. I want, I want.

  12. When you dance, you flex your foot. When you show your strength you flex your muscles and when you are after an elusive goal, you flex your mind and your willpower and everything you’ve got. Then you go out and grab that gold ring.

I want to be in the forest.

  14. I’ve heard the word “flex” way more often in recent months, but only just came to understand that it means more than the traditional definition of stretching one’s muscles. I’ve seen it a lot on YouTube. That’s where current culture is born, right?

  15. I used to be very flexible. I could contort my arms into crazy positions, but I as I got older I also gained a lot of mass and even though I am a lot stronger now I have not been able to maintain the level of flexibility that I used to have when I was in high school.

  16. An explosion sounded from the gymnasium doors, and in walked Elle Maddux adorned with eyes to kill. She looked around the room in a fevered state, no doubt seeking Levi, who was none the wiser to her presence. He remained laying on the bench, pushing up and pulling back down again, the bar of weights that were occupying nearly all of his attention. Elle found her target there and proceeded to march her steps in his direction, and when she finally reached him she, very loudly, cleared her throat. Levi looked over and saw her then, lips pressed in a thin line and arms crossed over her bosom. He smirked and allowed the bar to once again rest within the arms of his bench and sat up, sweat shining up his muscles. With his red face, disheveled hair, and glistening forearms and chest, Elle found herself shuddering — but, difficult as it was, she managed to retain her composure, even as he then stood and flexed his arms.

“I assume you’re not here on a social visit, then?” he asked, one thick eyebrow raised, his expression remaining playful and not a bit serious in the slightest. This only managed to annoy Elle more, successfully bringing out of her temporarily dazed state.

She cleared her throat. “Not quite.”

  17. To flex is to work, pump, and stretch your arm muscles. It’s also a kind of seed in a cereal or something.

Remember, you must use it or you will lose it.
That’s the golden rule to live by.

  26. If you can touch your knees, you can touch your toes. If you can touch your toes then you can touch nose to your legs. If you can touch your nose to your legs than you can kick up to your ears… constructing a new layer to the same rule, pushing it forward, always somewhere new and difficult to go–there’s no breaks here amongst soft pink silk and blisters.

  29. Weird flex, but ok. This meme has become popular in recent weeks. Used when someone is bragging about an odd thing to brag about.

  30. The flex tube just wasn’t cooperating. She didn’t know how she was going to make this work, and time was running out. If these explosives weren’t in place in the next 10 minutes, the whole mission would fail.

  31. Watch me fly, you non-believers – my wings will flex and ripple like the arms of the sun above my head. I will touch each cloud and wash my sins away in the suspended water. I will descend to the oceans below and let my fingers dance across the foam. Then, I will perch atop the highest mountain, where it is cold and my breathing is shallow. And I will watch the world as its only pure observer.

  32. Weird Flex, but ok. I learned that recently from my sister who likes podcasts(I do not). Apparently, it’s a response to someone who’s bragging about something weird. I have so many people I want to say this to, I have so little patience for people wasting my time with things I don’t care about. So maybe I shouldn’t be saying “weird flex, but ok.” Maybe I should say, “weird flex, get lost.”

  33. She’s still from the same old everyday. A new position would be fitting. A new horizon, inspiring. She muses that life was never meant to be lived in the same spot. So many highways to choose from. So much fuss with indecision. And so she sits atop her dreams. Conjures new skies inside her mind. Wishes for that train ticket, settles for the demise.
