  7. As I sat at the table getting ready to order my entree I wondered what he thought of me. Does he think I am too short? Too chubby? Is my hair to fluffy? As I wondered these things, my thoughts turned to him. He is not what I expected, but I don’t really care. It doesn’t matter. He is funny!

  15. the entree was particularly unpleasant. i considered killing the waiter but then again it really was the chef’s fault. Perhaps I should shoulder the blame, entrees are not usually my thing, but here I am standing over a pile of corpses with a knife in my hand.

  16. Upon the silver plate in front of me was the delectable visual feast I had paid for. Under tiny morsels of crumb lay the salmon pink, so beautifully pink, in it’s silver jacket, waiting for me to devour it.

  20. We sat down at the table and she ribbed me in the side with her elbow. There was a twinkle in her eye and she glanced over at Nathaniel, then back at me and said in that sickeningly sweet voice of hers, “Juliet, could you pass the entree?” I looked at her, my eyes flashing, and I knew that she was trying to make me feel stupid. She knew that I didn’t know what an entree was.

    Before I could say anything Nathaniel passed a dish of a steaming something over me and dropped it onto the table in front of her.

    “Here ya go,” he said, never even turning his head to look at her.

  24. The entree was delicious. Much better than was expected. They then moved on and enjoyed the night after taking the rest of the course. They still talked about how the food was delicious and agreed to try it out sometime again under the stars in their favorite place.

  25. A culinary dish. Something french. I’m really not sure what it is. This is just my hunch.

  26. Tuesday we ate an entree that consisted of June bugs and green beans. The entire experience wasn’t unsatisfactory, just unappetizing. I found the bugs to be a tad al dente and the entree one I wouldn’t care to enjoy again.

  29. An entrée into the world of absolute confusion. Conflicting ideas, diametrically opposed emotions all assaulting simultaneously and ceaselessly. I am so happy for for them. I am so angry with them for leaving me here alone. I want their calm, their togetherness, someone to help me feel like they do.

  32. an entree is a meal that you can select to eat. i find large menus often to be very overwhelming. there are so many entree’s to choose from.

    once i go to a restaurant and find an entree i like… i am loyal to it.

  38. Entree. I think it’s French– though there’s nothing at all French about the frozen meals I buy everyday for lunch. It’s actually kind of depressing, really. You never get exactly what the little cardboard box advertises. And it never tastes like it’s supposed to either. I shudder to think about those break-time meals; always with some entitled asshole acting like you should be helping them, rather than taking the single 15 minute increment you allot for yourself to eat something. Albeit something that only vaguely resembles food, but sustenance nonetheless.
