One lost earring. Steven sighed, sitting up abruptly. Why was he doing all of this work for one little earring?
“Did you find it?” Steven turned around into Aleah’s beautiful brown eyes. He shrugged, shaking his head. Aleah smiled softly and kissed his forehead.
“Oh,” she murmured, and he saw the sadness cover her face.
“I’ll keep looking,” promised Steven. Slowly, beauty and love crossed into her face, lighting her up.
That was why. For that face.

earrings are things that you are supposed to wear in your ears. you are only supposed to have one pair of earrings in your ears, and only girls should wear earrings.

I can’t really tell you where I got it. Found it, maybe. Perhaps Stole it. All I know is that it had been sitting on the dormant dresser in the corner of the room for years. Now, suddenly I have to send it its owner. But who is that, again?
Having a daughter is a special thing, but something you don’t consider as a dad is the putting off of her getting her ears pierced. You want to stall her as long as possible, and she keeps on begging, “Because all my friends have them already! Why can’t I?”
I think it’s important to delay because it’s an important right of passage for a girl that she wants to remember.
On her she was holding a pair of sparkling earrings, none the girl had ever seen before. The woman dropped them into the same hands and there she held what she told herself was beauty.
I remember getting my ears pierced. It was a collective effort, with all my friends in tow. We were going to conquer the fear by doing it together. We were only 6, 7 years old. Oh the terrible pinch and pressing of it. The ear hot and red and thumping like a brass band. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. But they looked good, little gold stars so I endured the pain, for weeks until it passed.
Then, about ten years later I went back for a second piercing, favouring the double stud look. I’d blotted out the trauma of the first experience. This time, all teh pain came rushing back in a stabbing memory and fresh assault and it hurt even worse. All I remember is standing outside the shop afterwards gasping for air, which felt like saltwater on my ears, and trying to smile sweetly at the sudden appearance of my crush. It felt like somebody had got my ears in a vice grip. I went home and took them out. I wasn’t near as brave as my 6 year old self anymore.
I wrote about this word already, but I’ll do it again, if only to satiate the urge to write something! Why is an earring called an essentially ‘ear ring’? Most earrings don’t look like rings. They’re more studs. Is it somehow a vow taken, a token of something? Like when Romeo described Juliet that first time he saw her as a jewelled earring hanging in the ear of an Ethiop, the way she coloured the night. And Vermeer’s girl with a pearl earring. Look how popular she proved. Standing in all that light, the pearl glistening like an orb of unearthly beauty, a piercing of pain and pleasure, a talisman. Hmmmm.
im not thinking too hard about this, my thoughts are pouring out without much consideration. earrings are superflous most of the time, they do not add or subtract to my attraction. most of the time they are gaudy and overly ostentatious, like fuckin chandeliers hanging from a woman’s gigantic stretched out ear lobe. how sexy.
i’m wearing mine right now…prefer silver…sterling silver..looks kinda gay on guys..depends i guess, it can look sexy. i had mine since i was 5 or 6. agggesssss
She fiddled with her earring look at the floor. “Well, um mom? you know, I was wonder if…”

Anywho, one day, mother covered her with her little blanket and put her down to sleep. The mite pulled and tugged on the blanket and somehow it got tangled in her earring.
apple likes to wear earrings while she eats her small little pears..but of course she never EVER wears her earrings while talking to Mills.. its just disrespect.. its like pointing at an italian.. or shaking your left hand with a belisiann.. dont mess with belisians.. i think apple likes belisians.. and the sausages they make there. dont eat belisian sausages like apple.
Earrings are very pretty when you have a bunch of them! They are great to use when you have a really cute outfit!!!!! I love earrings!!haha:):);)!!!!:D
Some guys are stupid and get earrings then take them out because they think they look stupid because they were stupid. my moms earrings smell like metal. and they are shiny and pretty but now she has holes inside her ears
