  7. Dislike —

How simple it would be to prattle off things that one dislikes in a neat little box to be placed on a webpage anonymously.

How much more difficult it would be to wonder why one shows dislike for what they do. Is it better than pure apathy? Does hating give one the ability to feel that they so long for?

Why is such a word necessary, what happened to love each other and your fellow man? Not a nice word, not one I like to use. I prefer honesty, niceness & pleasantries. To look for the good in all things. To be grateful and count my blessings. I dislike that there is a word to convey negativity in any form.

  18. Is a strong word used to indicate a mild feeling of hatred for another person or thing. There are not many things that I dislike, actually that is a lie entirely because I dislike manythings but if I keep telling myself this is not so than that must mean that it will become true, right? Or is that not how the world works outside of the books? I have never been able to tell the difference.

  23. I don’t dislike you. Really. I swear I don’t. Now flat-out hatred is a whole other matter. It would be a lie to say that’s not the case. While we’re at it, let’s add passionate distaste and extreme disgust to the list, but not dislike. That’s too strong of a word.

    by Chris on 04.30.2009
  24. i can’t decide what i think of disliking. in an ideal world would i dislike things? maybe the real problem is i don’t know what the ideal world is. it’s hard to act if you don’t have morals, but it’s hard to have morals without an idea of the ideal…
