  1. i don’t need to be photographed, to feel like i’m in a moment of art. or even, a moment of life.

i’m the greatest director of my own life, because i art direct everything that is going on in my life, fusing what is real and what is a fantasy. i do that every single day, until everything becomes real.

  2. There were many things to do, so little time. The biggest creation of his life started with a simple and small light, but there many things to do, so little time. 7 days were the time limit.

  3. All my life I have ruled someone, I am tired, the force to have a small being trapped inside your hands makes you feel inhuman, unnatural, an unknown. For once, I would like to be the slave.

  6. He screams and yells and throws fits and argues with everyone; Asher Lastname is such a damn pain in the ass when it comes to movie season. All the actors hate him within two weeks of filming and he always has to hire at least four assistants during the duration of whatever movie he’s working his ass off to make beautiful.

  13. Everyone is a director. Whether they only direct a few of life’s choices, or they direct the lives of thousands of others, we all make our slight ripple in the world. With that you should find comfort. When your lack of faith in yourself throws you into an ever deepening pit of rage, confusion and heartbreak, allow that fact to come to the surface of your thoughts and sprout brilliant, feathered wings that help you pull yourself up and beyond where you were before. Soaring into the soft blue light of the never-ending sky.

  14. Director. How ironic.
That’s what I’m supposed to be – as hilarious as that sounds to my ears.
Me? Director? I don’t have the faith in myself, even though other people try to instill that faith into me.

I have to get over my feelings of inadequacy.
Only 11 days until we shoot. So much to do.
    Lord help me.

  15. The director has basically the job of interpreting the writer and his vision and then, turn that vision into a real world app.

by Michael J. Grant on 03.12.2013
  16. Which would you rather be? A director, or a follower? One might say they want to lead the pack and another might say they want to simply waltz around in the background for fear of having too much power. Whichever you decide, either one is something to be proud of. Never be afraid to direct on some occasions and follow on others, because after all, we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

  17. To fire rapidshot guidance and slowly steer demands is the director’s job; she is bringing the story to life.

  18. As he discovers his comfort zone he sits himself in the fold-up wooden directors chair. He tries to imagine himself in the situation then realizes that his 3 actors on set are not doing a good enough job of making the scene feel real and make it so people can understand it; live it.

  19. A pain in the ass. The “director” of our high school is a heinous bitch who needs to go to hell. Like now. Ugh she’s changing everything and I hate her for it. We were in a good place, as as school, and now we’re a pathetic excuse for an American school, I mean we might as well be an “international” school or a British school at this point. What the hell does shoe know? She just got here, and she hasn’t even bothered spending any time with any of the students. What the hell. She thinks we’re all problems to solve. We’re not. We’re trying to grow up and she needs to learn to respect that. To respect other peoples opinions. To give herself something else to obsesses about. I’m sure the rumors about her being abusive towards her husband are true. She’s totally the kind of person who would.

  20. A man with a log, black beard was chosen to be the director of the lovely film “The Other Guys”; he did a great job and made a hilarious movie starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

  21. Plays, movies, tv, Alfred Hitchcock the most famous director of all time, that embarrassing play in eight grade(as you like it)when I almost fell on my face (whew)!

  22. Sometimes I pretend to fall asleep, just to see if you’ll hold me when I twitch. It’s not because I don’t trust you, but the director who has been in charge of my life has messed with me often enough to make me wonder every once in a while just how much longer this will last. It’s like how you say I Love You whenever we talk, before we say goodbye. Because you want to hear it back, and need the affirmation. I just need your arms around me.

  23. Lights. A spotlight shines down upon you, following your every movement. Camera. They’re watching you. Action. Waiting for what you’ll do next. Better make it good. Better entertain. Or they’ll call cut.

  24. in life perhaps you aren’t really the star of your own picture, perhaps you are more like the director, with people milling in and out, wowing you with their presence and then leaving to pursue other interests, other projects, while you manage the comings and goings and try to get the best out of the people around you who star in your vision of life.

  25. As the director of my own movie, I would have a lot of fun, probably too much. I would probably end up partying all the time with the beverly hills high life. Of course, that is if its not an indie film and instead is a major motion picture. I would have an assistant director do my job and then come in messed up tell him he is awesome and walk back out and party. I did not want to write about this word. :/

  27. The film’s director went outside to answer questions from some of her frostbitten fans, who had hovered around the corners of the movie theater just dying to see her face. She had done something truly remarkable with cinema – something an old rival found disconcerting.

“There’s a reason why women have only one Best Director Oscar to their name,” he scowled over a glass of Tullamore Dew. “Because they don’t get the film world. So why do they care about her so much?”

“Nice one, asshole,” grunted the bartender.

  28. Is the head, the captain, the one that will keep you safe when the storm arrives. The strenght of his mind is also the kindness from his heart. Tormented and lonely.

  29. He lies back in his directors chair, the old wood creaks as he sinks into his comfort zone and the canvas backing. Almost everyone else has gone home but he just wanted some time to stare at the set as a whole.

  30. Becoming a director had been her dream since she was 16. She couldn’t control her own life, or her own thoughts, or her own emotions. So, she thought, I would dream up a story of my own and control will no longer be a problem.

  31. “But Doctor, I REALLY think-”
“I’ve already made my decision regarding Miss Go and, since neither of you have given me a reason to change my mind, it stands as is: you and she are to have no further contact.” she finished, leveling the younger woman with a stern glare. “Are we clear?”
The redhead huffed and looked away, her arms folded tightly across her chest, and the doctor had to fight the urge to smile at the unusual display of petulance.
“Kim?” she asked. “Are we clear?”
She sighed and her nod was curt, even by her standards. “Yes, Dr. Director. We’re clear.”

  32. The god of the film. He reigns over all in his fold-up wooden chair and with his megaphone. A story in his mind and on his tongue the words to tell it.
    One man.
    A creator.
    Better than a god.

  33. It’s not about what you do as much as it’s about what you see. It’s your personal view on life and it’s your memories mixed together in a blend to create something original. It’s a creation of the mind, and it’s pure creativity put in to real situations, in to real life.

  34. My boyfriend is a director. He’s wonderful in every way, and I can’t possibly have asked for another guy. He isn’t controlling like a director, he’s actually not controlling at all. The only time he asks me to do something, is kiss him.

    by Calico on 03.12.2013
  35. Direct movies, plays, lives, deaths. Nothing is real, and it’s all in your head. I think, I am, I speak, I live. I am a director!

  38. why should i write about director. what is it, actually. — i don’t know right now, because i’m from denmark, and i don’t remember the danish word for it. But director isn’t that something in movies?

  39. “Take a seat,” The secretary said brusquely. She didn’t even look up.
The seat was cold. The old vinyl coated upholstery that they used in public buildings in the 70s and 80s because it could easily be washed of whatever the public threw at it. Sweat, blood, piss, or vomit. Doesn’t matter, the chair would be spotless the next morning. It was untouchable. Much like the man I was waiting to see. The man behind the curtain. The man behind the door marked: “J. Edgar Hoover.”

  40. The decision, the actions, the responsibility. You are in control and there is no other being that be relied upon. Not with trust.
The heads turn, the eyes look to you, you must act, you must decide.
