Desolation , oh desolation, I don’t get why you’re here, but I’ll try my best, please leave me , or don’t , I’m still going to be here no matter what, for you and for others I’ll be, for life and for love I’ll be, die or not , I’ll be .

I am no one, and everyone , noone is everyone in me, I’ll keep on changing, but desolated I’ll always will be, why so you’ll ask, just because I’ll always answer, desolated for myself, for my life, for life itself and sorrow, for sorrow and loneliness, I’m nobody though, always nobody I remain, by myself, alone and lonely, clearly there’s nobody here, but myself, my desolated self, I love, I love, I love, but is love enough to heal the nothiness in my soul, my heart, the absurdness has invaded my mind, and still , desolated I’ll always be, always was, holy desolation, holy desolated m. We’re dancing, you and me, in the sea, crying, we’re crying out of fear, and smiling still, as we’re losing ourselves in the moment, but the moment is not alwayss there, and we’ll remain here, for eternity, suspendes and happy, smiling out of regret, our souls not brave enough to leave us be.
The water frothed back and forth, grey and full of little sparkling flecks of glass. Out on the olive green ocean, he could see the far off oil rigs, now merely statues in the overcast morning light. Their dark hulls whistled, but from the shore it was just a low hum on the sour breeze.

The feeling of desolation has to the absolute worst.
The gnawing feeling that nothing can improve and all is lost.
How does one overcome it?
Life can be difficult to bear at times.
It is a cross.

It was a long, long, long time until anything green grew there again.
The Almight had his look, and did not despair, merely shrugged.

It was a long, long, long time until anything green grew there again.
The Almighty had had his look, and merely shrugged.
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
I found myself feeling so cold and alone that morning. When I woke, it was snowing and the tops of the mountains seemed to disappear into the clouds above.

In the desolation of the moment, I sat and stared ahead. I couldn’t believe that my father had died. I was too shocked to cry. I sat there blank. He had lived a long, hard life, and survived many hardships only to die a drunk.

The day was bright, brighter than usual, which was odd in this town that Nick grew so close to. The sun somehow hung higher in the sky and made it impossible to see. There were no clouds. Nick made a note of that. Not only where there no clouds, but there lacked people. Where hundreds of people used to be, were now gone.

Desolation is his name oh. Yes, please step right up and say this word five times over. I will give you a prize with a green hat named John the elephant pants. Is that something I may be able to get you into today? What if I upgrade the stereo?

it was horrible, the desolation that lay in front of them. the carnage of the animals and humans alike. How could anyone be so savage? It was like primal fear and jealousy in place to totaaly tear up and destroy any8ing that could threaten the broingers of this violet act.

I was full of love and then it went away. The things that remain in me are too cold to be called love, loving, loved. But I make it work, shit, can I do anything else? I watch from high up in my window at night and see headlights pass like shooting stars.

She was all alone. surrounded by infinite masses, but seen by none. the landscape of the city was desolate itself. But her tower, perched among the high rises and the air hangars, was higher still. It was truly alone, an island in a sea of clouds. So she thought. she thought on this loneliness, on this anonymity, this desolation. And in the end, when her prince came to rescue her, she found…
She preferred it.

Desolation. I have ruined everything i loved. In the story of my life, i am the “epic hero.” I am destined to destroy myself, bit by bit. I am lost within my own fate. It’s a labyrinth of unproportional sadness. I am empty. I will never be whole again. Someone end this madness.
By Kaley E. on 05.29.2014
I see nothing but the desolation left behind from what I did to him…the one I loved…the only one who ever loved me…he is gone and I am left sitting in front a mirror staring into the eyes of a person long past…a husk…a shell…nothing more than a carcass left behind after what I had just done. I wiped the blood off my hands and face on to my blue and white plaid dress, turned and grabbed his ankles and began to drag him out to the garden. He always loved watching me garden.

you were gone. but did you realise what have you left for me? a sense of utter desolation, and this extra cup of tea I can have now.
By Cuteberry on 05.29.2014
the world is too large a place to be alone
too many people feel like they’re entitled to company
when they treat others like they’re not worth anything
isolation is a feeling
desolation is a destination
but if you’re present in the present
it doesn’t have to be that way.

The desolation of Smaug. Isn’t that from the Hobbit? Desolation. What a depressing word. But that is what I’m experiencing now. Desolation. Why did he leave? Why would he? Where did he go? Dear brother, desolation. Please come home before I succumb to this disease they call desolation. Please.

When he left me, I cried enough to fill the Pacific Ocean. Salty tears coursed down my cheeks endlessly while I lay on my sofa, pausing only to cram more chocolate into my mouth and watch Oprah on endless repeat. He was my life and now he was gone.
By MissKerryH on 05.29.2014
Desolation sounds like something a cobbler would do. “My shoes are in need of some desolation” “Thank goodness we have Bob over here” Wait. I think I meant desoled. Whatever.

The Desolation of Smaug was crap.
Why the heck was the movie split into 3 parts?
It could have just been two right?
Smaug came out of this mountain to wreck havoc, why the hell must the movie end there?
Why not just have Legolas shoot him
LEGOLAS WASN’T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE MOVIE

She was in the state of desolation, everything around her meant nothing. After what had happened the day before, she felt like disappearing into nothingness.

The abandoned town lay desolated amongst the tall mountains that surrounded it, lonely, forgotten, never to be seen again by the human eye. Remainders, memories, lone objects will forever lay scattered upon its grounds to remind us of its dead inhabitants.
By JOhana on 05.29.2014
Desolation. I heard that word in a song and also in a movie. I thought it meant to bring terror to someplace. But our teacher told us its means depression and loneliness. Well I guess. Yea.

it’s nothing but a desolate hallway
just get to the end?
that should be simple
but the haunting thoughts
roll past like tumbleweeds
they are hurdles you must cross
until they begin to consume the air and your most personal space, then they are solid brick walls
it’s only desolate on the outside
By Brittany on 05.29.2014
There was desolation in my thoughts, if I let it, and it was easier to let it take over than actively take responsibility for my own happiness and to this day I do not know why that is. Why is it almost preferable to “accept” failure than even take a chance?
By Brittany URL on 05.29.2014
it was so isolated. no one was around or could be seen for miles. everyone had vanished and the whole are was deserted. I wonder what had really happened and if it would return to what it was like before.

Once the veil was lifted on Nilfheim they were able to finally view the desolation of the once fertile realm. Every where they looked there was nothing but frozen walls of ice that appeared to go on throughout the entire realm. The sun could not be seen through the darkened skies above, which left little chance of melting this world.

alone like a desert
with only the sweeping sands
no life to speak of anywhere
I’m staring at my hands
I wonder what’s become of me
my life it seems is lost
where does redemption lie, if at all?
and at what will be the cost?
