  2. She was cranky this morning. He could tell because the sky outside was the red of the Devil’s furnace, and dark clouds choked the sky. His mother was not an easy woman to deal with.

  3. Mom and i are cranky, but we have good reason.
We went to the hospital at 9:00 last night and stayed there for three hours. My little sister was wheezing awfully and the people at Children’s hospital helped her. So yes, I’m cranky.. but I’m also very, very grateful.

  5. There is only one word at the top of the page and it makes me nervous that I won’t be able to write anything worth reading. My son is nattering in my ear while I try to sort out this program, and ultimately it is starting to make me cranky. Can I just get 60 seconds to put my thoughts down on paper?

  7. The way i wake up in the morning, and walk down stairs to find the kitchen sink full of trash and dishes, and dining room and living room more full of dust bunnies than furniture and a glass of tea that has been sitting around for a week next to the couch, while my chores, the recycling and trash and rent and bills, are all done. On time. Complete.

  8. Wow were we cranky to one another last night. Where was the grace and the understanding. Hopefully when I get home today the mercy will be restored.

  9. If there was one thing that he didn’t want to mess with, it was his wife on one of her anger sprees. Oh, he did love her so mind. It was just that once a month, she gets mood swings the size of the deep abyss in the sea and he was never safe from her. Anywhere. It really was rather difficult to deal with a woman who went from cheerful and loving to a raging monster in a matter of seconds. It drove him mad sometimes even.

    by Crow on 04.05.2010
  10. She huffed, shaking her head before laying next to her mate. Really. It really wasn’t her fault that despite whatever Konoka said, her mate was far more handsome than hers. Setsuna would never really compare up to her Teef after all. Honestly, there was no need to get so cranky about it.

    by Crow on 04.05.2010
  11. ya hui ego znaet! vsem privet!

  13. Her face scrunched up with deep wrinkles, all flaps of skin and fury. The noise coming out of her mouth screeched through our ears. We couldn’t take it anymore; we stuffed her in the pillow and swung our arms out toward the window.

    by jessica on 04.05.2010
  14. really fucking cranky. Only best friend is not my favorite and I’m tired of therapy four times a month. Which, by the way, is costing her 50$ a week. 200 dollars a month. thousands a year. I suck as a child, i think. I really do.

    by rawh on 04.05.2010
  15. She really wasn’t a naturally happy person. It seemed that she was constantly cranky. The way she would snarl if anyone dared to say anything against her reminds me of a bitter, pained old man. She should learn to act her age.

    by melanie on 04.05.2010
  16. Yeah, I’m cranky right now, no need to tell me. No need to say, “You’re uptight. You mind if we smoke?” If I said Yes, yes, I mind too much, then you would just keep on anyway, and the room would fill with that skunk stench that makes my throat jerk.

by Ella Emma Em on 04.05.2010
  17. She’s always cranky. No matter what happens that day. She could be sent roses from an anonymous admirer or ace her exam. She would still be cranky the moment she walked into the house. It’s sad to see someone with that much hatred inside of them. To always be cranky, to take it out on the people that loved her the most.

    by Amber on 04.05.2010
  18. “and you didn’t have to be so goddamned cranky.”

eye stinging with tears, her lips tipped slightly upward. she shouldn’t be laughing, not with her grandfather laying dead

    by jennie on 04.05.2010
  19. Cranky McGuffin was what the kids called the old man own the street. His long, white beard stretched down do his bellybutton, and his cane splintered at the bottom as it pierced the concrete. He was belligerent. But he was not without his secrets.

    by Gavin Verhey on 04.05.2010
  20. Why is the word still “Cranky”? God dammit!

    by derek on 04.05.2010
  21. Cranky. That’s what the end of a day makes me. I’m away from home. Los. Confused. Dealing with everyone’s tantrums. And through all their crankiness, I am somehow expected to stay calm and composed. But you know what? Maybe it’s but fair that I’m allowed to be cranky too!

    by Confused Soul on 04.04.2010
  22. Mortals must do what they are here to do creatively (and adventurously) or they will get cranky.

    by Teresa Wooddy on 04.04.2010

  24. he was a cranky prick, never satisfied. he had to point out shortcomings in everything i said. even if he agreed with me on something, he had to interject “BUT , i think you missed something”.

  28. i saw a cranky guy with a beard covered in blood who tried to shoot me, luckily i was able to evade him and kick him in the butt. Now i have a big scar. it was a painful thing, but i feel better now.

  29. Ever since I was a little child, I had sworn that I would not be like my paternal grandparents – the cranky, cynical old people every grandchild despises. But now, after half a century of tolerating the difficulties in life, with arthritic joints and an increasingly croaky voice, I was starting to become that which I had hated most.

  30. He looked over his lawn and I knew immediately that he was thinking of me. His scowl was so deeply furled into his face that I worried it might sit there permanently.

    It probably already had.

He turned back into his empty, cold house and surveyed the stale bread and cold soup. I never meant to make him this sad.

  35. she had been cranky those last few days. i guess some would say you almost could have seen it coming. she always was a nice girl, never rude, always very polite. but she had been lashing out. looking back i suppose we shoudl have noticed her change and tried to help her. maybe if we had, she wouldn’t be gone now…

    by jacqueline on 04.04.2010
  36. She wasn’t usually this cranky; something was wrong. But for her live-in-the-moment lifestyle, I decided to go with it. For once I woudl be the control freak that couldn’t go out with anybody. I decided I would finally let go. So I ddid what she least expected. I kissed her. And boy, did I love it.

  37. To be cranky is actually healthy for you at times… It helps you realize what an idiot you can be over silly things.

by Mary Lou Wynegar on 04.04.2010
  38. You’re ridiculous. You can’t make up your mind about me and I don;t understand why. I’m what you need, I’m perfect for you, but you’re still indecisive about it, are you GAY?!?! Honestly, because that’s the only excuse I can come up with Mr. Cranky.

    by Taylor on 04.04.2010
  39. Cranky. Thats an understatement. More like CONFUSED, sad, UN happy. I’m about to be a senior in high school and I have no idea what I want to do for the rest of my life, I know it’s silly but it’s stressful.

    by Taylor Renee on 04.04.2010
  40. The whole family was cranky. Apparently, the trip to build family ties and discover the wonder college was unsuccessful. The three of them sat beside each other on the pew, not speaking or making eye contact with anyone. A stern look of disdain was painted on the mother’s face and the father looked utterly exhausted. The daughter, on the other hand looked mildly pleased with the internal torture she was inflicting upon her parents.
