  1. I’m not very good at cooking, but I know a man who is. I don’t know him very well, he is just a friend of the family, but I have had his cooking several times, and he says he enjoys it very much. I wish I could get to know him better, but he is older than me so I can’t really. I think that I should learn to cook so when I am on my own or when I get a family I can cook good stuff.

  2. I loveto make things I have never ate. My favorite foods are ones that I’ve not tried. Dash of garlic. Fresh Ground Pepper. Sensations From The Pan. Some of the best things come from the kitchen and the mind

Rising yeast to bake bread. Kneading the dough, shaping the loaves, putting it in the oven, loving the smell of baking.

You would think this was progress, a sign that I had made an impression. For him this response served two purposes: it might result in another meal at a future time, and it indicated the end of the social exchange, the point at which he could get up and leave.
”But wait,” I said, ”we need to do the washing up.”

  5. I caught him on a cold morning with a snowball in a saucepan, holding the handle tight but gentle like a dog’s leash.

  10. Profoundly cooked. That is what I am called to some, who don’t understand that the stance I take is a perspective that works well for me. Possibly, quite possibly, not well for others. Cooked. Baked. Buttered. Hmm, maybe I need some more raw …

  11. I really enjoy cooking. It has become a hobby of mine. One day I want to have a family and cook delicious meals for them. My mother is a huge inspiration on that. She is an amazing woman and a great influence on my life. I thought about being a pastry chef just because she has shown me how to make the delicious recipes! I love her dearly.

  12. I like to cook food. My favorite things to cook are hamburgers, Chinese food, hot dogs, and soup. I learned how to cook from my mother, but she can only cook Chinese food. I got sick of Chinese food really easily, so I learned how to cook myself. WHen I grow up, I want to become a chef, and go to culinary school. Then, I will form my own restaurant.

  15. I am really bad at cooking. There is such a mess. Recently I learned you should clean as you cook. But then arrises another problem: How do you time everything so all meals come out at the same time. I hate finishing one and by the time I’m done with the other, the 1st has gone cold. My mom never has that problem. She’s awesome like most mothers are.

we put in our ingredients and let it simmer.
it was our first time with such a complicated recipe, but would be worth it.
We forgot about it, left it on the back-burner for a few years.
    then all of a sudden
one day we lifted the lid and let the wonderful stew fill our soul.
    and we never hungered again.

She had to stay for Sammy. She looked into the fridge and pulled out some chicken fillets and tomatoes, and turned on the oven.

  26. I love to cook. It makes me feel like I am doing something vital for my family. Chopping, slicing, dicing, braising, browning, frying…it’s all the same to me. Just an ends to a means. But the real thrill comes from seasoning. What am I in the mood for tonight? Sweet? Savory? Spicy? So many choices in the just the type of salt alone. Then add some herbs, they are key to great flavor. Not too much pepper though, that stays on the pallet way too long and overwhelms the meal. Just like in life, a little sweet and sour goes a long way…

England looked over his shoulder at the horrified faces behind him.

“Hmm-? But you all looked tired so I figured that if I made some scones it will help?” he said hesitantly, holding up a darkened lump.
