  1. I didn’t have a clue what he said. Then I replayed his message. I got it. He was saying it’s not safe for us to be talking but we need to communicate to stay alive in what has now become of North America. Even if it means death at any moment.

  2. She had no clue what was going on in her life. She was in the middle of finding a new job, but was too lazy to look for another one. She was in the middle of a dying relationship. And she was in the middle of higher education. She needed a sign.

  3. I don’t have a clue if I am doing any of this right.
    How would I know?
If someone tells me I am living well-
    Is that a clue?
    Or a warning?

    by Brooke on 02.14.2012
  4. I haven’t a clue where I left my purse. I always put it on the same place, on the table by the door, but today I set it down and I’ll be damned but a hole opened up and it was just gone. Gone. Really. Maybe the hole had teeth, I’m not sure. Anyway, I don’t know what happened to it, I don’t know what I’ll do without it and I certainly don’t have a clue what ate it.

  5. A clue. Like a piece to a puzzle. If you are a detective you would look for clues, or pieces of evidence, in order to solve the crime. Sometimes the clues are obvious, other times not so much.

    by on 02.14.2012
  6. Give me a clue, a sign, some little hint. I am so completely hopeless; it’s pathetic. Help me figure something out. I don’t know who I am, I don’t know who you are, I don’t know what to do. Give me a clue, to help me realize what I’m doing. Give me a clue on how to get you.

  7. I’ll find a clue. A fingerprint. A smudge. The dent of a head on the pillow, the scent on the bed as I roll into the space I am no longer sure you ever were. A clue… a sign… that it really happened. That I haven’t imagined the mystery.

  8. John couldn’t help chuckling at the idea. The world’s only consulting detective, stumped and frustrated by a simple game of Cluedo! He had treated the game like a real-life murder scene, insisting that the characters must have motives, and that the murderer myst have left behind evidence. “There must be some way to investigate the crime scene,” he had insisted, “Aren’t there signs of imperical evidence on this board?”

Finally, as the night grew long and Sherlock’s patience had worn thin, the inadequate playing board had found itself pinned to the mantle with a dull knife, its entertainment value thoroughly exhausted.

And for his insolence, John had found himself pinned beneath the self-proclaimed victor.

  9. I have no clue what you’re talking about. None at all. Clues aren’t reliable anyway, anyone can make them. Scuff your shoes the right way, leave a chip from something somewhere, just little things all pointing to someone else.

    by Ellie on 02.14.2012
  10. He had no clue what to do next. The whole plan had fallen to shreds, the moment Jerry opened that cabinet. Alarms blared throughout the empty building, red lights strobing across the blank walls, making them appear otherworldly. Menacing shadows danced and leaped from the desks to the walls to the doors.

  11. Clue Montegomery hated her name. Despised it if she was totally honest. People always made fun of her for it. Especially since she’d started her P.I firm. “Clue’s looking for clues again.” was a pretty common refrain. And it wasn’t even that clever.

  12. There are lots of different ideas that people have when they think of the word”clue”. I think about surprises I have had and the clues I needed to figure out what the surprise might be. I Love that part of it!!

My husband doesn’t even flinch when I greet him at the door with a kiss and a smile. Waiting, waiting for him to say it. He walks into the living room and plops on the couch. “Do we have any beer?”

  19. Currently watching Wait After Dark with Audrey Hepburn, and this film is something of an anomaly. It’s brilliantly done, and the clues, the way that things are left about and rearranged, then end up playing out… it’s a fantastic movie.

“Oh. So…how did he know my name?”

  40. Sitting in a circle, sometimes with Glenn’s mom and sometimes without.
She, smile gleaming and thoughts clicking.
Me, watching her more than I was paying attention to the game.
Who was it? Where was it done?
    Candlestick, rope, wrench? Who cared?
When the real mystery was who she’d be all grown up.
And still as wonderful to me.
