  1. My family has a castle in Scotland. If I could, I would board a plane just to visit this castle. I think it would be quite the incredible experience. I mean, how many families can say that have their own castle? I feel special to be a part of a family that, not necesarilly comes from royalty, but has the social status to own a castle.

  2. The castle is falling apart, but that will be put to rights soon. As soon as the inheritance is officially hers she will fix it up as good as new again. Just like how she remembered it whenever she visited her grandfather. Everyone called him an old kook but he was always nice to her. She’ll make this castle his legacy. She won’t let him be forgotten.

  3. He built me a castle from his arms and his legs, his broad back my stone wall, his hands my defense. His shoulders rise like towers to hold me so high, his eyes my windows to survey the skies. Within my castle, I am safe and I am warm, secure enough behind my walls to weather out the war.

  4. The castle loomed on the horizon, seemingly staring down at the young slaves as they were lead up to it’s gaping entryway, as though it were a mouth waiting to swallow them. This was where the King lived, where their brothers and people had been taken for centuries, and where they would get their revenge. The slaves slogged through the rain, eagerly awaiting their chance at vengeance.

  5. Visions of castles. Ideas vrs reality,
the insanity of the princess fantasies with disney movies. Frogs and princes and bakers and such. There is this haze that surrounds these dreams. Ideas of what could be.

  6. The mist enveloped the castle; a grey blanket thrown carelessly over it. The turrets peeked above the smokey tendrils, like teeth jutting out into the night. I kicked my horse forward and we walked at a slow pace to the draw bridge. I had never believed the tales that this place was haunted, but tonight, seeing it like this, brought a shiver down my spine.

  7. I am reading about King Aruthur in class. I just spelled Arthur wrong three times and I still spelled it wrong the fourth. I always imagine a castle that would mine completely and what I would do with it. I would probably have a lot of food made for me. http://thedude510.tumblr.com/

  8. It was a simple building standing in the middle of a seemingly flat plain surrounded by hills acting as a barrier. Wild flowers grew around it ranging in color and size. The smell of dew hanged in the air as the sun starts to rise up

  9. It haas turrits and big motes and kings and queens inside. Armies of soldiers protect it and they built a big one in Florida. Tinker Bell lives there now that the kings and queens and soldiers are not there anymore. It is a lot more fun there now.

  10. this is my favorite tv show. i hate that this is what i think of first when i see this word, its so typical of my generation. i was hoping to use this to get better at writing, but then i see this word that used to mean all of these fantastical things to me, and all i can think of is this show that i watch religiously. unfortunately. but it’s about a writer, so that has to count for something. maybe not.

  15. Stone and mortar, crumbling on the hillside. A selfish queen and a hopeless king wait for the chosen one to return. They watch the horizon, scanning the sunrise for the rush of wings. The griffon said to aid the one true bearer of the sacred sword is nearing the time of the harvest moon.

  18. A castle is home. It doesn’t have to be grandiose, it doesn’t have to have a room with diamonds. It has to have jesters, kings, and queens. It has to be built of rock. But it doesn’t need an army. It doesn’t need a moat.

  22. A castle would protect me, is the first thing I thought of. Protect me from what, exactly? Why am I so afraid, all the time? I am realizing that all of my negative emotions stem from fear. Anxiety is a part of fear. Anger justifies my fear. It’s physical. I want to lock myself up in a castle and not have to deal with anything, cold stone hallways and warm cozy beds.

The duke became the duke because his father was the duke. His father became the duke by subduing the horrid creature. The tale was long, and complicated, from a time long ago; but the villagers have long memories and so know they are indebted to the duke and his descendants.
