  5. The wood was carved intricately into an angel with roses surrounding it. the color was a light caramel color and she couldn’t help but appreciate the hard work that had gone into the widddling. She ran her pale fingers over the wood and got a small splinter. He apologized,a nd quickly removed her tiny injury. With a smile, she thanked him and placed the carving on her table.

  15. I will carve into the wood the face that haunts me. It creeps up on me in the middle of the night and gives me terrifying images of lands beyond here, but they are new exciting lands which are meant to be explored, and I will do so with gusto.

  16. The first time I learned carving was in elementary school. I remember the teaching having us carve soap. Then, we did the same thing in middle school. It was fun, but I never did well.

  26. I used to know this guy named Jack who had an entire basement full of stone carvings. It was dusty and dark in the space, but I felt at home because it was a place of art. It wasn’t glamorous, but I could stay in there for hours admiring the creative work.

  37. Carving pumpkins…not coming up for a while. I used to do those with my dad all the time when I was young. We always followed patterns, rather than fail at being creative. Man, what great pumpkins I have seen from other people, though. Goes to show how almost anything can be an art form…
