  2. A pin lanced through the growing spot on my finger, and unfortunately some of it drops in the pot. The water devours it, and throws itself against the sides of the silver pot, glowing red on the bottom, just above the flame. The rest of it remains on my finger, thrown outward at the single flaming point of renewable anger, turning the bottom of me all red and hot.
