  7. Bellowing is like a silly anger. It’s out of control, loud, but has an element of the elephant to it. When one bellows, the result is more of an amused smirk, rather than a cowed acquiescence.

  11. below the air is the earth, i dont want to be below i want to be above. below implies not enough or too low. sometimes it is good to be below i guess. like when you are below the requirements for higher loan payments or under the radar for trouble.

  29. Bellow is a funny word really…It can be used playfully or, well, any way. To bellow is to make a usually low-pitched sound which is usually prolonged. Great word for essays I must say.

  30. the bellow of the loud fog horn could be heard for miles around the fogged in port and light house. The ship’s captain could hear the long low horn and see the light but could not see anything else. At times he couldn’t even see the bow of his ship.

  33. Bellow. Now there’s an underused word. How often to people bellow things anymore? I suppose bellowing is unattractive in this day and age. People want to hear yelling or shouting, but not bellowing. Probably because that implies something a bit more boisterous, a bit more urgent.

  34. I ran through the open bush, chased by the herd of horses. Soon, they passed me, and Mama horse and her baby were behind me, shadowing me to protect me from the rest of the herd. She bellowed her safety command to the baby, to stay with her. We both listened.

  38. A dinosaur that will roar really loud and will keep going. Or like a lion or pretty much anything. That will roar…. But you can make them mad and they will get roary. So watch out.
