  8. I don’t prefer them, but they somehow keep me more stable than I would be otherwise. Although there was that summer I lived in in Maui where I made more money than I ever had before. I was like a walking ATM. But I saved more than I ever had before…I think it was because I was always losing my money in random places. Under the couch, in my suitcase, aprons…by the time I was packing up to leave for home, wads of money came pouring out of the cracks. I guess my memory is good for something. Better than banks, at least.

  11. Banks. Money. People. But maybe its more than that. Maybe its a place so unique and intriguing because people come with trust. They place more trust in this building with strangers and money, than they do in world outside the double doors.

He checked his balance and decided to take out the last 100 dollar bill to buy that pearl necklace she’s had his eyes on for weeks. “$95 is your total. Have a nice day, sir.” He smiled and put the necklace in his pocket, went out of the giftshop just in time to catch the bus. The cemetery wasn’t far, he got there earlier than he expected and laid himself in front of her tombstone along with the necklace. And that was his last gift for her.

  20. The data banks of my brain were at a deficit. It was a recession of massive proportions. The surrounding brain cells would tell of the catastrophe for decades to come while the outer world suffered the repercussions: utter, dumb silence. Yeah, Laina never really tried to talk to me again. I wouldn’t have either.
But I did, I talked, all the time. I talked to myself. My pencils, desks, the doors in my room. Never teddy bears or anything with eyes though, that was just weird. I practiced my abyssal social serenades on the tone deaf ears of inanimate objects. And slowly, but surely, I learned to communicate without the usual epic fail.

  21. Banks. Wow, What a word to start me off with. Well. First of all, Banks hold our money. We trust our life, basically, on banking systems. Until the recession hit us hard, we had nothing to loose. All of our cash divided equally until somebody decides to get into debt. Hate them.

  27. The banks in the Us are part of the reason that people are so broke. They need to take a little less profit and start cutting rates to help the people. Less profit would help them in the long run.,

  28. I love the smell of banks .I have heard stories that they are bad but they seem soo sweet and clean like nothing could go wrong

  29. I hate the banks. They take all of your money and hold it for you sure that’s good I suppose but they’re robbing you in the process. $35 overdraft fees, but not allowing overdraft protection sure that makes tons of sense. Oh well I’m slightly ranting here and I don’t think that was part of the exercise but realistically what else is there to say about banks. They help you buy houses so that’s a useful thing, but at the same time they can also come and take that same said house away from you so it’s kind of a double edged sword. I guess when it comes down to it they are still just a tool of the government to make your life more difficult. Now I have to drag out the time on this thing because I am apparently unable to follow simple instructions. Times up!!

  30. robbing the banks of fate
    my pistol shoots off
    getting what i want
    better now than late

    robbing the banks of fate
    twisting the destiny
    having things go my way

    robbing the banks of fate
it seemed like fun at first
but life that is too easy
    is just not that great!

  32. The banks had eroded with the recent rains, leaving the river ripe with ruddy mud and debris. Where once the clarity of a coursing current had revealed the rocky bottom and its residents, now ran nothing but the murky mess of nature’s excess.

  33. They control us, our money, our lives. We are lost without them. We are happier without them. We like them. We hate them. They help us, and hurt us. They manage our lives without us realizing it half the time. They are on our side. They aren’t on our side. Our friends, or are foes? It goes unknown. It depends on who you are, and what you do, I guess.

  34. Banks are retarded, if you refer to the money controlling mega corporations that run our economy. If you refer to data-banks, or memory banks, or another such reference simply stating a collection of…. complete the sentence, than they are less offensive to me.

    by TimTim on 08.13.2012
  35. Banks. I’m not sure how I feel about banks. Obviously, they provide security, but really I think they just take more money than needed. And interest. Don’t even get me started on interests on loans. Now that pisses me. Whatever. Banks will be banks.

    by hibbderp on 08.13.2012
  36. Banks have our money. They hold it and take care of it while we spend it. We give the bank the power by allowing them to have our souls by signing away our lives, our lives of friends and family, and the the lives of the people of the future.

  40. Banks? No they weren’t starting with banks. Jimmy was out of his goddamn mind. Start small, a 7-11, maybe a pawn shop on the seedier side of town. But banks? They’ve got alarms, guards, insurance. Banks required finesse, and a plan. That wasn’t exactly Jimmy’s strong suit.
