  3. it’s a twig that i used to crash into with my friend brittney barbieri. we used to crash into huge bamboo stalks on our sleds and once we found a carpet hidden inside of the group of stalks. the carpet had a mouse in it, so we decided not to use it.

  6. My bestfriend Maggie went on a trip last year with the shelter to help animals she took me along I remember meeting this kind panda named Pogo we was adorable. Pogo was rescude in Asia I think or Austrilia one of those but I will always remember that panda and how he ate the bamboo, he ate it like there was no tomorrow

  7. Bamboo forests are what pandas live in. They’re tall and beige. i’d imagine they taste like wood or something but I really have no idea, even remotely, what they might taste like. pandas eat bamboo almost exclusively, i think. the girl i live with referred to some place in her hometown as the bamboo forest, but since she lived in suburban maryland i do not think it was actual bamboo. i really know next to nothing

  10. Pandas eat it. Apparently. Also, Japanese soldiers used it to torture prisoners by planting it beneath them so it grew through them (bamboo grows v.fast) or pushing it under their fingernails.

  17. The long shoots dug into my fingers. I really hated this torture the worst–far worse than the boiling water or the freezing cold tank they used. This was plain horror. Blood. Sticky blood. More than bleeding I hated being sticky. Ugh. But I underwent it all, and they still didn’t believe that I knew nothing.

His black coat shimmered dully as the fading light filtered through the leaves above, but it wouldn’t be any warning. Three more strides brought him within range and he leaped, claws pushing out of his forepaws and his mouth gaping in a silent roar.

  29. The bamboo trees lined the forest that was now my home. Nothing else seemed in place besides the sturdy, loyal shots of bamboo that shoot towards the sky endlessly.   33. How I loved those light coloured bamboo blinds. They were a symbol that represented my grandmother. The smell, the smooth texture of her skin and the cool wood. It was all a distant memory by now.

  36. Bamboo is a magical happy plant, that likes to reach for the sky and gets really annoyed when Pandas come along. Them sneaky Pandas all come up and eat them. The other plants point and laugh, but the bamboo mopes about it. It’s a little emo, and figures it’s not fair they get eaten all the time.
