  1. The art of the thighs. They are so beautifully sculpted. Too bad mine, if all thighs, itch. A lot. There isn’t anything that is artsy about them. It is quite sad to see my legs all red and flaked with dead skin cells. Who likes that? I know I don’t.

  2. They say the arts are dying. I couldn’t tell you who or what that is, or even what’s killing them. But it’s sad to hear. Dead arts. No one wants that.

  3. That bum in the coffee shop who looks like he hasn’t shaved in 2 weeks. Yeah him. He says hes an aspiring artist. Why have this generation dropped to this? Where has the proper youth died? Oh well,

  5. The arts are a way of true expression, via words or almost any other medium. you can paint, you can draw, you even just sing, but I think you’ll find them most satisfying. Remember, just try – you can do anything you put your mind to and be as creative as you want to. Go! Live.

  6. I pent it all up, but I was finally there, right in front of him, and it spewed all over the sidewalk underneath that horribly bright lamppost. “Can you even fathom what’s been going through my head in the past few weeks? Yeah, I get it. You were confused and lonely, and you wanted somewhere there. But to blame me for what happened–to blame me for your actions, that’s bullshit. I don’t need that pressure on me any more than you care to continue whatever this is.” He stood there, stupidly silent, just like I knew he would. “Whatever. Go fuck yourself. I don’t even know why we bothered,” I finished, walking away at the last word. I had to type this up tonight; a writer could never let any conversation settle in the dust.

  7. Everything important is in the arts. You learn life’s greatest lesson in the arts. Whether it be how to fight in Karate, or how to deal with your problems through writing songs. Arts are what you make it in your own life, but either way they play a huge role in a person’s life and how they deal with everyday problems. The arts are beautiful hands that help mold lives into something great.

  9. arts is the shortest and simplest four letter word (truly three) that has beyond the most overwhelming meaning. art is a way of life. it is the breath we breathe to the last minute we close our eyes on this cruel yet beautiful world. art is appreciation or hatred and misunderstanding for the world and the images that conjur up behind our eyelids rooting from the very simple yet extremely complex organisms that we are and roam this great thing called earth with us

  10. It’s what he does…and yes, I should be thinking about all else, not him. But, he’s an artist. And, I may be falling for him…just hope he feels the same way. Aren’t the arts messed up? They look so beautiful on the outside, and then they screw us over up in our heads.

  11. arts are my specialty. although I cant claim to know much about any style in particular. I do know I have art inside of my soul. Sometimes I don’t know how to get it out and its irritating but when I can express it, it’s bliss.

  14. Art is what everybody turns to when there is nothing else to be found. When all the logic and rationality has been swept from your life, and your mind, you heart will always know that music, writing, drawing, anything will be of more help. Anything with emotion. Anything with beauty. Art.

    subjectivity
    because it’s not real
just a piece of your soul
because we die everytime we create art
we leave our suffering, our angst our happiness behind
so we can print it on the arts
i am willing to give it all
    to die
    with my art
i am willing to give it all

  21. Hats. So so many hats. They hung from hooks and rested in piles on shelves. They were pushed against the sides of the aisles by passing feet. Some were still in their boxes, but most were scattered throughout the store.

  22. like some eulogy for the summer we skitted around each other, like honesty belied danger, i am standing by the waterside (we used to dance) in remembrance of your two forefingers tracing circles into my hipbones, unconscious towards your thoughts of whirlwinds and downward spirals (did you think you were instead drawing the outlines of galaxies?)

but i will never yield to you, and this is the one promise we can carry together, the one reason you will leave me, (here i am talking as if you have not already, please wait up, your watch is faster than mine)

even tigers, the first time they meet their handles, are timid; there is a prerequisite knowledge of what is about to be, and quite the fear of this submission, one body to another

  23. Magic was not something that should be taken lightly. It was a form of art; something to be admired, yet dangerous at the same time. The girl rolled her eyes, the boy couldn’t even do simple fire spells, how can he be the one chosen to be wielder of the Runes?

    It’s you.

It was you the whole time.

  32. The way we express ourselves is in art. It is through art that we become the purest form of our human conciousness.
