I am an artist. I participate in the arts. I’m proud of my art. But often I am critized for my art. People say that I’m not good enough that I’m not deserving. I hate those people. They hate my art.
There are so many different kinds of art. people are mistaken. they think that only taking pictures, drawing painting, etc, are arts. But it is so much more. Art can be the unique was one perceives a situation, when another person sees it completely different. Art can also be in so many different forms. Cooking, writing, singing, even a unique way of telling a speech is art. art is one thing the entire world has in common. ever since you were little you would be doing arts in crafts in school. It is a way to exercise the brain-the right side of the brain. Arts is music. Arts is language. Arts is how people put their perception of the world on a canvas, word document, song, even the way one will design the inter workings of a car.
“You have disgraced the arts with your presence! Leave at once!” Said the stage director. “How dare you!” Iyelled in a apalled tone. I circled the stage director. “How dare you acuse me of such things. My grandfather would never stand for this”. I took a deep breath calming my anger. “I own this stage and not just with my talent. I have seen my grandfather’s will. I disgraced the arts…” i stopped to breathe again. I turned to the gathering crowd. “My grandfather William Shakespeare, himself, would not stand for this betrayal”, i said with fury rising in my voice. “If there is one decent actor or actress in this theater please step forward and follow me. Those of you who refuse to stand with this witch” i say pointing to the stage director,” step forward and stand with me”. Nobody moved. Nobody even twitched. The stage director walked to me. “Leave now”, she said in a mocking voice. I set me shoulders back amd lifted my head. “You all disgrace the arts”, i said in a solemly voice. I walked down the stage steps and through the door without so much as glancing back.

The arts all of them are great not one better than the other maybe just maybe though
Some get through differently. But they all tell a story.
My little sister burst through the door, arriving from her daily preschool class. She immediately ran up to me and began shoving some kind of work she had done in arts and crafts that day, in my face.
I thought the arts pointless at first,
For how does one value their worth?
What merit merits Shakespeare, that old bard?
He merely measured man’s heart-beating pace.
And what deserts deserves dear Milton blind,
Who justified God’s ways to human’s race?
Why bother reading Austen?
Sure, her verse was captivating,
But I’d sometimes face exhaustion
When her tale she’d be relating;
Though nowadays I breeze with ease
Through the works I’ve been berating.
Why study Keats at all,
That cockney lad
Who ‘poet’ had
Dubbed his being,
And stood seeing
Differences lacking
While backpacking
To Scotland, grand,
From old England,
Of grounds and yards,
Cherries and songs,
Scores (of ‘fores’),
Leads and doors,
In his shoes,
Wondering?

In his standing firm shoes,
Wondering?
Why bother trying to understand the link
Between ourselves and others illustrated
By poets not enough oft celebrated?
For, ’tis hard work to step outside ourselves,
Acknowledge all our mortal flaws possessed;
‘Tis better far to keep them on our shelves,
Enclosed in books, wherein on page, confessed.
That way might we with stealth ourselves remind
Of truths ideal we cannot seeming find.

The arts are a wonderful thing in this world. They helped to spark many things in this world that wouldn’t exist without them. People can’t even live without some of the things that the arts helped to create. Imagine life without the great painters that we all know, architects and technological designers.
arts are beauty. complex and simple, they define the positive side of humanity, the side that yearns to create and bring things into being. arts show how we as people can bring goodness to a planet of despair.
The fine arts of life can be wonderful sometimes. They can be beautiful or even strange. There is so many kinds of arts i get confused on which art is which. But art is fun to draw and make.
I want to work in the arts. Like an alchemist. Wade knee-deep in colours, get my hands all inky. I want to work in swirls and twirls of meaning, get all tangled up in stars and be rewarded with a salary of knowing what it means to be alive.

I search out opportunities in every city I visit to enjoy and the local offerings from an authentic Japanese tea ceremony in Seattle to an outdoor symphony in Chicago. Here is the sweetness of my life. Here is where the connection between humans is given a tangible expression from performance to sculpture, painting to street corner jazz. It all delights my soul.
The arts. Broad stroke idea for any piece of work created by someone. Is there a measure of it? Isn’t it those who don’t follow convention the very people who define what art is? Not until they’re dead, of course.
