  1. As he strummed his acoustic guitar her skin vibrated with anticipation of what was to come. She couldn’t wait to be in his arms; to be strummed as he did that guitar.

  2. I’ve picked up the acoustic guitar – literally – when I was younger. Strummed a few chords and put it down. Other friends picked it up and held it and made beautiful music. I teased them then, I envy them now. It’s never too late to learn, but I think I’d be hard-pressed to train my fingers to dance the way theirs do now.

  3. The acoustic guitar sang in the silence, it’s sad melody drifting through the still air and through the thin walls. It filled the stillness, but not the whole.

  4. I’ve always wanted to learn how to play acoustic guitar. Oh, it would be so easy to write songs. I’ve heard the process of songwriting is magical if you can play guitar or piano. You just strum a few chords and let the music takes you where it wants to go, and then the lyrics just come to you naturally, and I wish I could do that. It would give life more meaning to express it through music.

  5. His song was moving, it touched her, she wasn’t that kind of girl. The kind who sat around pining for guitar playing bad boys, she’d just as easily have no one or be alone. But he, he didn’t sing like someone who thought they were better than they were, he almost seemed afraid as if strumming the chords and singing along was nearly as nerve wracking as sharing his soul.

  6. I sit with my guitar, trying to come up with a simple song that will reach your ears over the clamorous noise of your day to day life. But all is silent… you probably wouldn’t hear it anyway.

The shadowed figure continued to pluck on the strange instrument, the melodies hauntingly beautiful. It said nothing.

“Please may we go home?” he pleaded.

  19. lilting. simple, cheery and free. uninhibited without the ties of sheet music or a full band. It’s the stripping of a song, the exposure of a verse. Nudity. IT can leave you breathless or hopeless but it shows the soul of the song. A whisp and a dream, a hope and a flash. brief but true.

  21. The acoustic guitar sat in her lap and was strummed. She was playing a peaceful melody that calmed all who heard it. She looked up from the guitar only to see that everyone’s eyes were on her. “What skill you have, young lady.” a man told her as she sat on the sidewalk, cradling her guitar. She simply smiled gently and continued on playing her peaceful melody as if the world was alright.

  22. The sound of the acoustics filled the small room. Almost everyone’s head was turned towards the small shriveled old man. How could a things that ugly produce such beauty? Beauty can only come from what is already beautiful, and this man was certainly not. One woman knew though; she knew that the old man was more beautiful than all of the others in the room combined.

The next morning during the assembly, the buzz of conversation would drown out everything, and any scrap of talent would be lost among giggles and gossip and burping noises. But for now, it was quiet, perfectly silent. He raised the instrument to his lips and played.

But there was a less appealing first as she passed the cables backstage to see a blood body hanging from the ceiling.

    by Skippy on 04.19.2011
  38. The Hall held thousands of voices all bouncing off the marble and stone. The peels of laughter and gossips was coupled with the clinking of wineglasses and the shuffling of feet. This was not a real party but a den of manipulators and thieves dressed like their were the nobles they thought they were.
