i decided to slice the aurora of the conversation in two with a half forced chuckle. it seemed more of a laugh of pity, but she wasnt doing well. i could see that he was getting to her. i needed her here with me for just a little while longer. i believed it was possible.
it seemed half sinister, as the first hard earned laugh seemed to come from a dark place, a guttoral sound echoed around his vocal chords and was finally released with a sound so spectacular the waves of audio could be felt touching your very soul.
the room surrounded the sound like a cave collapsing in drastic form and fashion. the echo of his bellowing chuckle, deep and guttoral, sent a wave of motion through the sturdy hardwood, that struck through my feet and through my torso.
