Shot through the heart, Adrian fell to the ground, sitting flat on the floor against the wall. That didn’t make much sense, because there are some really nice couches he moved home from mom’s, but he was in his 20′s, and sometimes things hit harder than they would when he was a kid. He was used to rejection, but it always hurt when he was rejected anew.
