persons we are
look at us, how we go
those streets are well versed in footprints
familiar with many
also there are those that they only met once
and each corner still can hide many mysteries
and each light gives a different angle and variation
and nothing is ever quite exactly the same
you’d be surprised how something you think you know
the only difference was the sun was higher
– or lower
and no matter what we think we know about a person
– or a street
we can never know it all
thank god
we’ve all still got the unadorned cracks to hide in
safe and comfortable from the light

such a shrill sound
such a bad garment for cloaking desire
a built up compendium of perversions
guilt and money
eating too much at dinner
leaving the scraps – the rest of them
what a bargain they say
it’s the best system we’ve got
pardon my unenthusiastic demeanor
i can think of a better one

i just need a framework
some boundaries to excel in
if only I could separate my desires from my practicalities
if only this haze wasn’t constant
but then again, it’s more like closing your eyes then anything else
that’s what it feels like

its easier to make strawmen but its harder to deal with when the composition of such is made whilst referencing a mirror
responsibillity is hard and terrifying
like our world
so realistic
I don’t really consider myself an idealist
just a mongrel without a blanket
but that’s OK you know
after another time you realise and you just start coming to terms with it
and then the path before you doesn’t look so scary
or sad
its the standing still that really gets to oneself
it makes you question the point of it all
if only i didn’t have to think these things
if only i could walk
repetition the stallion i rode in on
and then stupidity was the thing that grounded me
if i was smart i’d grow wings and dream constantly
and chase after bliss honestly
which is surely more honourable and noble then going through the motions
whatever motions one makes when completely still

he rounded the corner and the empty cartridge fell out the bottom of the pistol…

clang, it screeched as it hit the wet tarmac. lets hope they didn’t hear that.
but for this betrayal, there was no point in hoping. they would come for him.

there was only 10 minutes. just this small gap. the only way out.

he reloaded and tensed up like a runner waiting for a signal to sprint… waiting for that gunshot. then he’d make his move. it was time to get out, and as a whole. he wasn’t leaving in little pieces.

BANG! And he sprang out the gate and darted the wet streets, the air being ruffled from the bullets flying from behind. he was nearly there… soon he thought, he’d be free… with his love by his side, breathing low as the candle dies…

how many lifes are lost on account of these rulers? these puppets feigning as puppermasters, the real controllers hidden behind the curtain, illusionary… the enemy of the people, the enemy of our freedom and our right to equality. humanities greatest fight is happening under the guise of this shadow
