Academic halls where I grew and matured into an analytical thinker where I was encouraged to do the things that I dare not do because I could fail. Academic – it’s as much about learning as it is being open to failure.

Everyone has an opinion, and everyone wants to be justified. We try desperately to achieve justification on our own, but in reality only another person can truly justify us. When we try to do it ourselves, we are just being pushy and stubborn.

His skin was tough and tanned from countless years of being in the sun and other elements. Brown and leathery his hand have aged, but they have not lost their strength. The farmer’s hands reflect his character and tell his proud story.

They gathered at the scene. All of the officers were stumped. None of the evidence added up. They knew a crime had been committed, but where was the victim. Or was it victims? They just didn’t know.

My mind is made up, and no one is going to stop me now. I am determined to move from this small backwoods town to the big city and make a name for myself. No one thinks I can do it, but they have never seen the sheer determination of strong-willed, redhead in full force. Nothing is going to stop me now that my mind is made up!

Oh, the way to do things in this world. There are so many methods and schemes the players take, but what must be determined is which will work best for you. Will you take the high road or will you throw your morals out the window and follow the methods of wicked?

Everyone thinks of themselves because self-preservation is the first priority. No one wants to get left behind or stepped on as the rest of the pack climbs the corporate ladder. If they succeed, they’ll only have themselves to thank.

“What’s your major?” It’s the question people are most likely to ask me and the one that I dread the most. I don’t have a major yet, and to admit that to others is like making a declaration that I have no direction in life. Why can’t they give me time to find my passion? It doesn’t seem fair I should have to make such a major life decision so soon.

We teach children so they will learn valuable knowledge so they can in turn become independent and teach others. The problem is people grow up and they stop learning and their growth comes to an abrupt halt.

Rushing out the door towards the waiting bus, her left foot hit an icy area and she fell hard to the ground. All the occupants of the bus were glaring at her as she gingerly rose to her feet with nothing injuried other than her pride.

I’m used at work for what I know. I’m used at home for what I can do. I’m used in relationships for the needs people think I can fulfill. It’s demoralizing to be used like a commodity.

I’m taking steps to become the person I need to be. The person that I’m suppose to be. At times they are baby steps, but Im making progress nonetheless.

Jerod sat at the kitchen table with his math papers strewn about. He wrinkled his forehead while he erased the last answer as the solution to the word problem continued to elude him.

Charles is quite known for his eccentric ways and antiquated speech. His favorite word is “forth”. He often tells his children to “go forth to school and increase your knowledge”.

People think I’m a novice because I work in a small town firm. Little do they know that I cut my professional teeth in the big city at a dog eat dog corporation.

Everyone wanted to be in charge. No one was willing to step down and follow orders. The result was mass confusion and nothing productive was accomplished.

What was shown on the news was misleading because it didn’t show all the sides to the story. That the problem with the media — they can pick and choose what angle to use for a story and leave the rest of the details out because it serves their purpose.

I was raised in a small town where everyone knew everyone. It was safe place for children. It seems so boring at times, but looking back I now realize that it’s a very special place and I wouldn’t change anything about my hometown.

The entrance to the building was very plain. You would never imagine what really goes on behind those closed doors. Lives have been altered forever just because a select few have chosen to step through the white wooden double doors.

What is civilize? Is it a society that eats with silverware instead of its hands? Or is it one that doesn’t blurt out every random thought that enters one’s head? Is it manners or technological advancements? To be being civilized is not being rude or crude regardless of how you eat your food.

Everyone wants to know where the body is buried, but the thing is I really don’t remember. I must have blacked out, and it was rain so hard that night that I got disoriented. I know it’s in deep in the woods. I don’t think anyone with ever find it — at least I hope that don’t.

To get the upper hand…it’s what I want. I got to have the advantage in this game. I can’t lose. If I can capitalize on my opponent’s weakness, this game will be in the bag!

Where has time gone? It flies by so fast that I can hardly keep up. Summer whizzed by and now I’m facing yet another birthday…didn’t I just have one?

As I sprint from the car to the office, the raindrops are flying at me sideways and the lightening pops all around. At the door I struggle against the wind to close my umbrella. I finally slip inside and look at myself in the mirror. I’m wringing wet from head to toe. . .what a way to start a day!

Fresh is good — whether it be fresh sheets or fresh bread. Fresh indicates new and unspoiled. It’s desirable and at a premium, but you better act fast because fresh has a deadline.

In this dog eat dog world, someone has to win and someone has to lose. Dominant opposing figures meet and face off. The winner will take the spoils while the loser will wait for another day to seek revenge.

A lump, a group of cells, a mass — whatever you want to call it, it’s not suppose to be there. It wasn’t there last month. I wonder where it came from. I just want it gone to rid myself of these deadly cells that are intent to spread throughout my body.

Stay calm! Control yourself. You can’t let on that you’re upset. You can’t pour out your overwhelming emotions like water out of a jug. You create a scene?!? It would be unheard of and so not acceptable.

Walls — they block, they divide and they protect. Walls can be good because they give us safe boundaries in our lives. It’s the walls that we build between us and another that are harmful and will destroy relationships, families and communties.
