Wow! I can’t believe I see this word. Grin. It’s been a while. I was once a reporter and I am now a teacher. What sheer coincidence that I was just reflecting on my choices and this word comes up when I decided to pop in here. Reporting and being a reporter is fun and there’s a lot to be done. I miss the job sometimes.

i account for the daily activities that happen in the company. sometimes i like it because i like to feel important, but other times i hate it because it makes me look incompetent. i can think of many ideas in my head but really doing something about them is such an huge task.

How ironic. I’m listening to a song with the word “step” in it when I just started this. Take one step at a time, that’s all we can do. Gambatte! It’s really daunting sometimes to just take that one step. Inch by inch, slowly, we creep forward. Footsteps echo heavily as we move on. To the future!

He scattered the contents of the table top with his hand in rage. He couldn’t stand it – nothing could get in the way, not now! He couldn’t bear it. Why did HE have to interfere? Why couldn’t that guy just butt out of his life and leave him to live life as he wanted it? It’s not fair!

given. Given has such a broad meaning. But at the same time, specific. It talks about what one will give to another. I forgive you. Given word. Give. Such a noble thing. At the same time, something foolish and seductive and naive. I wonder how many times has people given something for nothing and gained something. Or how many give and receive. And those who give to take and get in return.

I cannot predict the future, although people would love to be able to do that. Prediction as we know it is based on extrapolation of data. I think of Cassandra and her dire predictions which are never heeded, I think of the Oracles of Delphi who predict and whom people rely on their “accurate” predictions. Que sera sera, the future’s not ours to see.

Belief is such a fragile thing. And at the same time, so strong. Without belief, one cannot do anything well. It is the core of whatever we do. Crusades were started because of belief and faith. People dying were started by belief. And saints were made because of them.

I wonder – like a child. I wonder – a poem about nature and the amazement one feels about everything around us. Wonderful world – amazing world with things being so fantastic and you have no idea how life and nature is being created. Wonder – an innocent feeling. I see trees of green, clouds of white… What a wonderful world

Hugged. Enfolded in warm, loving environment. The feeling of being protected and safe and secure. Embraces are lovely. Many memories of my dad. Mum hardly hugged though. The feeling of you are not alone – the wonder of a simple embrace to welcome you.

What a coincidence. Today, I heard that my aunt’s father passed away. Funeral. Wow. I hate them. There’s something so sobering and sad about it. It should be celebration of a life and the end of it some people say. But I think, that it’s more a farewell for the living than a celebration for the dead. The bells toll, joss sticks are lit, and everyone is in black kneeling in front of the coffin to pay respects.

Plaid. First thought: the Scots. Second thought: Britney Spears’ “Oops I Did It Again” student uniform. =P. The red, green tartan with black lines running through it, the majestic green fields and hills of Scotland with bagpipes playing in the background – land of the tough.

chalkboard. Joining of two words – chalk and board. Reminds me of school. Where the teachers used chalk on the blackboard to teach. Also what we used as kids to play. Draw on the board. Visions of childhood and vivid memories. Ah, the nostalgia. Wish the same for kids of the future. How they miss out on a lot of things with all their Ipads, Iphones, computers, videogames, Wiis and all other types of technologies – kinda like animals becoming extinct.

Listen to the radio. One of my favourite activities. I could probably do without the TV, but not the radio and all the music it provides. Reminds me also of the song “Yesterday once more”. Coz the first phrase is listen to the radio. Love it, love it, love it. Radio is used in so many different ways – radiotherapy, stereo radio, radio DJ, etc.

Wow. Don’t see this word that often. It’s something used for art – that much I remember. =P Montage: i can derive a few words from it: age, gate, moan, tone, game. It can say so many other things besides its use in art.

Despair – the yin to the yang known as happiness. In fact, there can be no happiness, without despair. People fall into despair more easily today. Probably because we get things too easily now and don’t need to strive so hard to get things. Unlike our ancestors who had to presevere to achieve anything – never give in to despair, it’s the cause of more despair.

Mint is my favourite flavour. It gives one a tingly sensation and is good for making your breath smell good. That’s why it’s called breath mints. Not many people like mint as a flavour unless it’s in chewing gum. But I like it – especially in chocolate mint catke and peppermint tea.

i’ve already written about this word, so i’m not sure why it keeps popping up. it only reinforces the fact that it now reminds me of things that are ruined, things that are rotten, and things that are stormy.

If you intend and have will, you are certain. Intentions.
Intend=certain. Make it happen. You most certainly can.
