It was cold in the stable, snow on the ground, wind in the air, a normal Christmas for this part of the country. The horses were her first love and she coo’d to them as she brushed them and cleaned them and feed them. They were like children when they were around her.

Berashit, in the beginning, there was light…with all of the evil forces surrounding our everyday life does this connote the darkness that signals the ending? When will be become enlightened and smarten up?

The patent laws need to be revised and made so those of us who don’t use legalize can understand them. Make it short and simple. Then we know more about the process of getting a patent on our miraculous invention.

My favorite doctor is an alarmist. I’d rather be told the bad news, the worst scenario and then have the best happen. It’s almost like a superstition with me. Even on school exams I expected the worse and was greatly relieved when it didn’t happen and I passed the exams.

I am just awakening. The sun is shining and the sky is blue. This is a day for good things to happen. I throw off the covers and stretch. Close my eyes and open them once again so that things come into focus after a night’s rest. I slowly put on my underwear.

How I dreamed of living in a castle. It’s halls buzzing with activity and talk and laughter. I dreamed of a handsome prince falling in love with me and asking me to be his wife. Ah, the dreams of childhood!

Scout’s honer…that’s what he told us…he didn’t do it, Scout’s honer. What are we supposed to do as parents? Believe our child or believe the evidence. I chose to believe in our child. So did Matt. Scottie never lied to us before. Did someone frame him?

Stick to your conviction…that is an important value to have and to instill in your children. However, it is difficult to do. You must first determine the ramifications of your conviction.

I hate to iron! John insists that he has nicely pressed white shirts whenever he changes, which is at least twice a day. All I do all day is iron his shirts and do his laundry. When am I supposed to cook and clean? Sometimes I feel like a slave.

Prosperous is something I am not…at least in the monetary sense. I wish I was prosperous so that I could take care of my husband and myself and my friend, Mary who is house-bound is a house that sounds like it should be condemned.

The mist was swirling and you could hardly see a tree in front of you. The trees were abundant in this area of the woods and there were animals everywhere.

I can’t say that he hadn’t warned me, but I was too stubborn to listen. After all, aren’t I superwoman? I can multitask till the cows come in from the pasture and I can still party all night long.

Just suppose that you take me out, what do you think might happen? Do you think that perhaps you might like me and that you are afraid of liking someone a bit too much? Do you think that perhaps you might even fall in love with me?

I watched as you braided your gorgeous long red hair which you tell us is not red but auburn. You are so adept at everything you do and I’m memorized by you my darling Granddaughter!

I am definitely a romantic…in love with love…fantasize about love…dream about love and always searching for love. I love anything that says it is romantic and I love a romantic man like my dear husband. I’d never want to be anything else but a romantic, would you?

Sometimes I can be so dense. I hate when it happens. It makes me feel stupid, which I am not. Density can happen to anyone, can’t it? I don’t know, but this just doesn’t make sense.

I love playgrounds. I love to hear the children laughing and see them playing on the swings and slides. I love to soak up their energy. It’s a great way to start the day. We have many parks where I live and I count myself lucky to be able to visit them and see them filled with kids.

I am so busy being preoccupied that I don’t have time for anything else. I like to procrastinate the inevitable so my mind is always preoccupied thinking about the things that worry or scare me most.

The Port Authority was open for business. They were strictly official and were on a crusade. They were looking for someone. The description was that she had blond hair and blue eyes the color of water. She was wearing a business suit the color of port.

He crouches beneath the sofa hoping to catch wind of their conversation. He knows he’s supposed to be in bed, but he has a hunch that his parents are discussing something important that he should know about. He overheard them earlier discussing that they needed to discuss something not meant for little ears.

The kangaroo has a pouch to conveniently and safely carry his young, why don’t we? What a wonderful idea G-d had when he made the kangaroo with the pouch. Instead we have rely upon flimsy and often times defective man-made materials to attach our young to us. Why?

On account of….what does that mean? It should mean that it goes on someone’s account, but it is supposed to mean because of…how did this definition happen? Is it slang? If it is what era is it from?

I’ll trade with you if you have the card I need. How about giving me the Mickey Mantle card for the Roger Maris card? You can have the Stan Musial card too if you throw in a Babe Ruth!

I had a creative writing teacher once upon a time who had such a distinguished looked about him and his diction was perfection. I could listen to him forever, but he broke my heart when he told me that my poetry was as original as a kitchen sink.

We clipped her wings to save her from prey…did we do her any favors? I don’t think so as I look back on it. We thought we were doing her a favor, but we did not teach her how to survive in the real world of her peers. Nor did we teach our children the survival techniques they needed to live. We neglected the most important part of their education by sheltering them for all negative forces.

I exist therefore I am…no, existence is just not good enough…to exist is to just eek by, but to live means to go out on a limb and experience all of life, the good, the bad and the ugly. We just hope that most of our experiences are good. With existence you don’t get to feel and if you don’t feel, you’re definitely not alive.

Yuk! It’s on me, get it off! Don’t get blood on me….is it poisonous? I don’t want to get bit! Hurry, help me, help me! Won’t anyone come to my aid? What do I do? Don’t panic…calm now, calm…think…you can help yourself! I know I can!

I hate division mathematically or otherwise. Division means parting and that means sweet sorrows or perhaps it means freedom. Why do we have to divide? United we stand, remember?

Salt of the earth. Salt is a valuable substance in our life. It helps spice foods and it helps keep our bodies in balance. Without salt we would be in trouble. Of course, too much of a good thing can be a problem and in the case of too much salt, it can lead to congestive heart failure.
